About this listen

Fighting alongside the Corellian rebels, Han and Leia are locked in a war against their son, Jacen, who grows more powerful and more dangerous with each passing day. Nothing can stop Jacen's determination to bring peace with a glorious Galactic Alliance victory - whatever the price.

While Luke grieves the loss of his beloved wife and deals with the guilt over killing the wrong person in retaliation, Jaina, Jag, and Zekk hunt for the real assassin, unaware that the culprit commands Sith powers that can cloud their minds and misdirect their attacks - and even turn them back on themselves.

As Luke and Ben Skywalker struggle to find their place among the chaos, Jacen, shunned by friends and family, launches an invasion to rescue the only person still loyal to him. But with the battle raging on, and the galaxy growing more turbulent and riotous, there's no question that it is Jacen who is most wanted - dead or alive.

Can't go wrong!

With the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie coming out, it's great to go back and read any of the Star Wars books!

Still love this series after 3 times through it.

This is my 3rd time reading this series but the first listening to it. I really like how Marc Thompson performers it and how the music and sound effects add to the story. My only criticism is that I really wish it wasn't abridged. the parts that are cut aren't that critical to the plot but are still missed and help to make the story richer.

Read the paper back, listen to the movie.

This is one of the best Star Wars series written. Sadly it is abridged, but still worth a credit if you have an extra one. Still, read the paperback first.
PS Audible if you read this, I personally would spend a credit on EVERY single legends book that isn’t unabridged. If you could keep production values as high as this maybe two.

A Middling Chapter in a Strong Arc

Jacen Solo has become Darth Caedus... but not really. With constant assumptive action, allusions to what could be, and a healthy dose of familial drama that errs on the side of predictability, Fury is a solid, but unimpressive addition to the Legacy of the Force series.

Due, in part, to a gratuitous and largely pointless cameo by "The One Sith" (one wonders why and how the Jedi never got wind of them when they seemed so easy to find), this book ends the line of one superfluous and unenjoyable villain with a grandiose climax better suited to a more impressive character.

The high point of this story is assuredly the performance of Marc Thompson, who is and continues to be the definitive voice of Star Wars audio drama.

All in all, Fury does not stand out amongst the other eight books in the series, but thankfully bids farewell to the aforementioned baddie with decided finality.

Jacen sith lord

I enjoyed this story but it had some points that shocked me. It has some Mandalor segments which I enjoyed. I listen to this story that left me with know words.

Good story and reading. I liked the extra sound effects and music which added to the story.

Great Series! Great production!

Very well done for a Star Wars audiobook. Even though it is abridged, the 6 hour run-time leaves enough material to make this audiobook entertaining. That said, you can still notice gaps where, I assume, material was cut out for the abridgement. This can be annoying after a while. I won't beat around the bush, I loathe any abridgement and I would encourage people to complain to the publisher so that they will begin releasing unabridged versions of these books. Other than that, this book was excellent. Marc Thompson is one of the most talented narrators that I have heard. It is a pleasure to listen to him. The different character voices that he assumes throughout the book are executed flawlessly and I had to keep reminding myself that it was the same person speaking. The writing, sound production, and music were all top notch. I would give this 5 stars if not for the abridgement.

One last thing, stay away from any of the star wars audiobooks that are less than 6 hours in length. They are so butchered by the abridgements, that they are not worth your time or money. Quite a few of these are narrated by Anthony Heald and he is just plain awful. I found this out the hard way. Just remember, Anthony Heald = extremely poor narration. Jonathan Davis = Extremely good narration. Marc Thompson = Outstanding narration.

the performance is great, but it's abridged

love it all the way through, no problems finishing it, performance was fantastic and it's as good as I would expect a Star Wars story to be, however, it is abridged and I feel I didn't get a full value for my purchase or the full story so for that reason I have to give it 4 stars, I would be giving it 3, but it was a really good story
