If you’re reading all of the High Republic I would suggest listening to these 2 Audible originals. I’ve only read about 80 pages into “Into the Light” but it seems like the things that happen in this are pretty important

Fun audiobook

Sets up Into the Light pretty well, it was a fun listen 🙌 love Cam as a character

Great addition to THR

The story is generally okay, and it’s enjoyable. The plant creatures feel very much like the Flood from Halo. The voices by the narrator were fine enough though the character with the voice coder distortion was grating on the ears.

Feel like Star Wars borrowed from Halo

Kildo, Tep Tep, and Gavi continue their adventure from the previous Audible audio-book Seeds Of Starlight.

Great performance but reduced the drengir to childish villains. The author backed themselves into a corner that they couldn’t get out of without extreme plot armor.

Missed opportunity for a sw horror story

So happy the Seeds of Starlight sequel is finally here! My family loved the first audiobook, and this conclusion was worth the wait. The performances were stellar, and the story was satisfyingly filled with action, suspense, and an engaging plot. The 4.5 hours zipped by, and we hope to see these characters again in another THR story.

Excellent Conclusion to THR Starlight Duology

The three padawans return in this sequel to the "Seeds of Starlight" title. The enemy at the end of the first title is not as defeated as the padawans had supposed but is quickly gathering strength, biding its time, and getting ready to strike again. While the first story was driven by a detective type mystery this title is more of a straight up adventure story with the Jedi finally going into the ocean of the oceanic world instead of only staying on shore and in town for the entire narrative. While there is a mandatory Star Wars style lightsaber battle at the end of this book, it was written for a YA audience - so don't expect people to be cut in half or anything.

Even with shorter stories like this, the high republic story makes me a happy camper! I’m sad that it’s ending soon, but loving the journey that we’ve been on so far!

The high republic continues to shine!
