Publisher's summary

Wraith Squadron: they are the Rebel Alliance's ultimate strike force. Sleek, swift, and deadly, they are the first in battle, the last line of defense. Now they must find and destroy a wily enemy more powerful than the Empire itself.

Their covert mission has been a success. The enemy has been vanquished. Or so they thought. The Super Star Destroyer Iron Fist somehow escaped destruction, as did the New Republic's greatest threat, the infamous warlord Zsinj. To defeat him, Wraith Squadron must join a combat task force led by the only man crafty enough to beat Zsinj at his own game: Han Solo.

But Zsinj knows the X-wing fighters' indomitable courage is both their greatest strength and their greatest weakness. For even against the most overwhelming odds, the Rebels will fight to the death. And that will leave Zsinj the galaxy's unchallenged master!

Heald is improving but has a long ways to go yet!

Anthony Heald's reading has improved over the last few novels, but he still cant seem to bring the characters into their own with their own distinct voices as well as Mark Thompson can!

The best Star Wars book ever written

The only fiction book that can make you laugh out loud one second, cry the next, and keep reading all night. Only wish it wasn't abridged....

I do love Star Wars

This is one of my husbands books. I do love Star Wars movies, but I really didn't get into this book. The narrator did a good job. The issue may be that I didn't read Volume 1-6, but I also didn't want to mess up the rating. Read the others prior to this one.

Conclusion of the wraiths till many years later.

Unfortunately abridged. So much humor and squad interactions has been removed. Better if you just want to kill time

Horrible Performance

I don't know who decided to move away from Marc Thompson as a narrator/voice actor, and hire Anthony Heald, but it is a horrible, very bad decision. His delivery is whiny, his range among characters is shallow and cringey, He has a voice like nails on a chalkboard and a propensity to mispronounce iconic Star Wars universe names like Coruscant and Palpatine.Wraith Squadron, IIron Fist and Solo Command are the three books I have listened to so far with these issues. The first four novels in this series were unabridged and used Marc Thomson and others for the voice work. They are FAR superior as audiobooks and storytelling. Wraith Squadron, Iron Fist and Solo Command are three of the worst audiobooks I've ever listened to. Same authors alternating in the series, so I put it down to the lack of voice talent and the abridged format.
