About this listen
Some stars shine. Others cause the world to burn.
With Lady Sophie's husband still warm in his grave, and her reputation stained from being unable to produce an heir, the last thing she expects is her father to arrange a rushed wedding. The groom is none other than General Kasten, the illegitimate son of the King.
The same man who is feared and hated by the entire realm.
Still, she has been trained to be a dutiful wife and accepts her role without complaint. Yet how can she hope to be the spouse she is expected to be when the General is frequently absent and seems to be hiding dark secrets that cause her curiosity to burn?
Kasten's luck is running out. With the King and his court eager to see him dead, he knows he must marry or risk his lands falling into the wrong hands. His plan seemed a simple one: marry the woman he has always secretly admired but keep his distance to avoid forming an attachment. After all, he will likely be dead within the year. No need to cause her unnecessary anguish.
It doesn't take long for Kasten to realize he's misjudged the beautiful widow. Sophie misses nothing and is learning dangerous truths that could get them both killed. Kasten has always been willing to lay down his life in the name of peace but he will not allow them to harm her.
To keep his bride safe, he would burn the kingdom to the ground.
A heart-pounding dark fantasy world with clean slow-burn romance, perfect for fans of The Starlit Prince, Mistborn, Defy the Night, and Alchemy of Souls. Please note that this book ends on a cliffhanger.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

A gift bestowed. A time that is borrowed. A seed must be sowed, a strike to be sorrowed. Unveil the smoke to a world that is cloaked near a well at the end sits seven streams to defend. Nine trees of wisdom and the darkness of light. Chaos will come for all those who fight. A true death and a love that is bound by fate and fortune and all nine realms. Story
Lord of the Underworld, Hades has decided to leave his home and relocate to earth--my home town of Chicago to be exact. This shouldn't have been a problem, except for the fact that cocky Hades is smexy-hot. I don't know if I want to punch him in the face or jump his bones. In some of my dreams, I'm doing both at the same time. This is problematic because I've trained my whole life to eliminate monsters sent by the Gods to destroy humans... and for centuries my family has done everything in its power to stop them. But now I'm the last in my bloodline and a new threat stalks the streets.

My father sold me to the Shadow King. Faerie is a completely different world than the one I'm used to. Winged creatures fly in and out of mirrors, and fantastical gardens conceal treacherous illusions. Shadows draw me in a little more for each day my magic grows, but I can't afford to let my guard down. To survive, I must play by the king's rules and protect myself from the nightmares, dreams, and fantasies that govern his seductive realm. Most of all, I must resist him. If I don't, my kingdom will fall.

Their job should be to kill me. Instead, I have become their favorite toy. The bones of every blood witch mark the entrances to the human villages. Blood magic is forbidden. It's evil incarnate. Everybody knows that. So, on my twentieth birthday, when my coven's sacred blood rite ritual reveals me as the first blood witch to appear in the last twenty years, I fully expect my bones to be added to the pile. What I don't expect is to be kidnapped by three egotistical, frustratingly gorgeous, and devious witch-killing warrior immortals with a peculiar and insatiable taste for my blood.

I'm not a worldly woman. I'm not cultured, well-traveled, or well educated. I'm just a housewife. A mother. I'm the woman with the handsome husband, beautiful daughter, the large house. If you saw it from the outside, you'd probably think I have the perfect life. You would most definitely be wrong. But I don't blame you. We all see what we want to see, turning a blind eye to what others want to stay hidden. Especially when it comes to love. They say love is blind. But I'm more apt to say it's wretched. Love is what made me stay. But love is also what saved me.

Boraleashe Cavalerie was the opposite of his titan brothers. He was stoic, disagreeable, and his attitude towards others was just as biting as his frost. All titans were required to gift their pure hearts to another—to fall in love—as praise to the divinities for their dominion over an element. Refusal to pledge their heart was considered an act of defiance to the gods. There would be judgment . . . and atonement.

Story
Coming to Stonewell University was the beginning of a fresh start. But in my second year, all of that changes. Because of him. The moment we collide, everything is put in jeopardy. He wants to burn down what I've built. He wants me corrupted and dragged into blackness just like him. And he's not alone. His two dark soldiers are right by his side. Together, they're known as Hex. Once you're marked by them, your life is cursed beyond saving. Levi Knight: Hellraiser. Volatile and tormented, vengeance courses like poison through his veins.

heartfelt and captivating
This book has truly moved me in ways I didn’t expect. First, I have to say that the person narrating it has an absolutely amazing voice—it keeps me completely engaged and wanting to listen.
I don’t know if this book was intended to resonate this way, but for anyone who has been in an abusive relationship and then finally finds someone who treats them with kindness and respect, it can be both shocking and overwhelming. The way this story unfolds feels so real to me. The main character has spent much of her life being undervalued, treated as if she had no self-worth, and now, with her new husband, she is cherished in a way she never imagined. It’s as if, to him, there’s no one in the world more important than her.
This book has genuinely brought me to tears. And that ending—what a cliffhanger! I absolutely cannot wait for the second book to be available on Audible!
