About this listen

A vengeful King.

A lost princess.

And the revenge he’s desperate for.

For the last twelve years, Tavish, the King of the Unseelie Fae, focused on finding the key for taking back his rightful lands from the Seelie fae after they killed his parents.

There was one problem that stood in his way—locating the Seelie Princess hidden on Earth.

After years of haunting her dreams, he finally locates her and drags her back to their realm.

She’s forgotten her fae life and wants to escape. He doesn’t care. He merely needs her blood in order to free his people.

But she’s more than he remembers, and a spark ignites between them every time they touch.

None of that matters though. His goal is set—to drain her blood once her magic activates once again.

He must take back what is rightfully his, no matter the cost.

But if he does, the price might be what’s left of his heart.

The King of Frost and Shadow is a slow-burn, royal fae romantasy that includes betrayal, morally gray characters, enemies-to-lovers, villain gets the girl, a gauntlet tournament, political intrigue, who did this to you, and touch her and unalive. Get this story today.

Love the slow burn however the story is not slow. The character interactions are funny and then serious. I am def looking to see if there is a second.

Strap in for a cliff hanger!

I devoured this book and can't wait to start the second book. The cliffhanger got me. The fmc is scrappy and will fight to the end for her survival. I just hope she keeps fighting for the future she deserves.

definitely worth a read

Holy crap!!

I sometimes forget how the author likes to leave us hanging and thirsty for more but holy Batman! That ending was a cliffhanger! Patiently waiting for the next audiobook to drop. I really enjoyed the fight to the death tournament and was completely hooked during those scenes. This is a fun enemies to lovers and I cannot wait to see what happens next with Lira and Tavish. There is so much between the two that needs to be revealed. The narrators, Willa Jaymes and Walker Williams did a wonderful
Job portraying both Lora and Tavish along with many of the other characters. They kept me engaged till the very end.

This series is perfect for fans of enemies to lovers, politics, deadly tournaments, and fae.

It's a great story, very interesting, and fast paced. The voice actors do a great job of bringing the characters to life but I'm not digging the whisperiness of the male voice actor when he voices Tavish, the Unseelie King. I think he might be trying for mean but it's coming across more like creepy than mean. That's not good. It doesn't fit who he is. He's actually a good guy deep down despite what he went through growing up. I wonder if we won't find out that his uncle is the one who actually killed his parents, not her parents. I think we will find out in book 2 that everything his uncle blames on her parents, the uncle actually instigated. We will see...

Great Story

This author seems to have spent good money to have her book perform by amazing voice actors. Not only was the voices performed having a wide range for different characters but the emotions was there too. Also interesting which is never done except in a dramatized version with lots of performers the line in each paragraphs was spoken by both performers. This is unusual and takes more work so wow. The story was good it had a lot of annoying plot holes for me and I found there problems being spoken about redundant with no action to fix it. But other than that the plot was Action packed and had a good speed to keep you constantly engaging into the story. There was alot of feelings and emotions but not alot of spice which I liked but lots of Romance. I do feel the author is not afraid of spice and that she will probably spice it up alot on the next book but that the first book was to establish a slow burn and emotional connection which dispite it all you got all the feels. The Story I give a 4 stars but with the performance of the audio book it really elevates this book to a 6 starts if I could give it.

Amazing performance. Just as good as dramatized version.
