Jack Steel and Christie Thorton are blackmailed: Become assassins or you and everyone you love will die....

The Jack Steel series is now in development for a major motion picture.

Deadly Blackhood Ops specialist Jack Steel has it all; his loving partner Christie, his daughter Rachel, and a protection agency he's proud of.

But it's all torn apart when a madman seeking revenge blackmails Steel and Christy. Their skills are pushed to the limit when they must become assassins to save those they love. The Mexican cartel, terrorists, and enemies from Steel's past force them into a non-stop fight they can't walk away from.

To protect his country and family, Steel must trust the very people he swore to kill. Worse, he's on deadly Ops with the woman he loves.

Even if he succeeds, he might lose everything.

Too mushy!

Performance sounded robotic. Way too many feelings for my liking! If I hear one more time that “it’s not your fault Jack” or how guilty Jack felt I might have to use the Benchmade 3300 OTF Infidel on my own throat!

EXCELLENT SERIES!

I absolutely loved it! This book caught my attention from the very beginning and held it throughout the entire book. This book is full of action, suspense, drama and romance. The narration was superb and gave the story that extra flair! The author did an excellent job with the character builds and plot. I look forward to reading more books from this author! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Narrator

Needs a different narrator, sounds like a robot. It’s hard to listen to. Story is a good, and with a different narrator would be a good listen.

Keeps You on the Edge of Your Seat

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

This is an action-packed wallop. The second book in the Jack Steel series starts off not long after the first one finished and Jack now has his own protection agency but Jack's past comes back to haunt him and his family. It's fast-paced with a lot of tension filled moments. I really enjoyed when Jack would get into a predicament and would smartly extricate himself and his team in ways which made the story even more exciting. Most of all, I enjoyed getting to know Christie and her family. How everything developed with her relationship with Jack seemed very realistic.

The narrator, Francis Kearney, has been the narrator for both books in the series and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Great follow up book

I love how the books are tied together and continue on. I hope to see more in the series. It left you wanting more! The length of these books are great and are a good value, I hate short books just to get you to buy another one. At 11 hours it’s good for a few days. The book had constant twists and turns and kept moving pretty well. I understand the authors “desire to protect women” I wish he would back it down in the next books. Tough women need to stand on their own and not have to fight for action

I was given this book by the author for an unbiased review

Superb Narration

Jack has left his past behind the days of Black OP’s and his ex wife Carol.
Finding happiness with Christie and daughter Rachel, and the home in the
woods Feeling honored to have his company be the security detail when Anthea came out to speak again about the treatment of Islamic woman.
Hostage situation happens when a madman grabs her and Christie brother
Harry. The Mexican cartel wants her dead. Once again the past haunts Jack, what must he and Christie do. It is a great plot, tense, full of action. Love how this two work together. Must read for fans of the author.
Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Francis Kearney was superb bringing this to life, will impact one as they listen to the audio of what is happening.

Speaker makes it almost unlistenable

Very robotic voice. Many times during the first half the book, I almost stopped and was gonna finish it by reading.

Luckily, you sort of get used to it and I was able to finish.
