Great Info!!

My wife and I listen inspirational literature to each other each morning with our coffee. We have just completed a full year of listening from The Daily Stoic: 366 Meditations on Wisdom, Perseverance, and the Art of Living.

Amazing Guidebook!!

The author does a good job of bringing up the tenets and encouraging the lisner to think of examples in their own life or among their friends, when these tenets were adhered to.

One of the best!!

I really enjoyed this book. It is a great introduction to Stoic philosophy. It's well organized with plenty of insight from the author along with quotations from the philosophers.

Very Informative!!

I did really enjoyed the book. The best summary, with a clear focus, on what stoicism is. The best book to “ grab” the philosophy as a way of living...what is more important was that it shows stoicism as something anyone can embrace if it according to his values or if it is willing to have a better life

Best Book!!

Awesome book. Illuminating. Easy to digest one page chunks. The Stoics were ahead of their time on self-help and Mr. Holiday zeros in on why. Buy this book and help yourself get out of your own way; help yourself banish impulsive and emotional reactions; and help yourself realize the great potential that exists in all of us.

Very Informative!!

I've gotten a lot of good out of other Stoic works, both translations of original texts and other, modern works. "The Practicing Stoic ..." is very much additive to all that precedes it.

Greatful

Having a bit of a tiff in the household (that happens with teens in the house). Pop this book open to the section on anger, and have some words of wisdom

Awesome!!

This is a book of great wisdom, and I appreciate the valuable insights. The explanations of how the quotes apply in today's age didn't always apply to me personally, but I can appreciate the author's goal of applying ancient philosophy in the modern age. The key point to take away in that is that this is a philosophy that applied then, applies now, and will probably forever be relevant.
