I absolutely love this series, and having Jonathan Keeble as the narrator makes it even better—I could listen to him all day. The story is engaging with a great twist, and David Blake never fails to impress!

I liked the overall story and the it turns. But oh my goodness - navy freighters would fit through the enormous gaps between possible reality and utter nonsense. So the suspending disbelief meter has gone higher and higher where this series is concerned- as fun as it is. Question to Brit friends- are senior folks in the police the enormous butt kissing a-holes that they’re depicted to be?

Like cherries in the beginning but truth is tanner is boring, unfunny and not great guy or detective. He stumbles into catching criminals thinking he is smarter than everyone else but yet to see him really solve a crime. The “sarcastic with” banter is unfunny and tiresome. I hated it with the first girlfriend and he just finds women who put up with him. Best bit is the link to Vicky in this book not sure I can tolerate another read in the series. Yawn!
