About this listen

Constable Bridget “Marley” Marlowe is always doing the wrong thing for the right reason. This time she’s skating the line of police procedure by protecting a young girl caught up in her father’s designer street drug ring. But when Marley gets injured, she needs help from someone she can trust.

Dr. Devon Wolfe is a burned-out psychologist on leave from her job in a busy hospital trauma unit. When Devon meets the injured Marley, she doesn’t know what to make of the bright and beautiful—and occasionally rogue—cop. Devon decides to help Marley and gets mixed up in the world of addictive street drugs, a young girl who knows something but won’t speak, and the uncertainty of knowing right from wrong. All Devon knows is she and Marley are in this together.

Great Story!

This was very a good, believable story. The two main characters were really good together. The secondary characters Clara, and Amy were equally believable. As a retired child welfare administrator, I wanted to permanently end the parental rights of Amy’s father and throw him in prison for the rest of his life!

The plot kept me in suspense until the end. Lula Larkin was excellent in her narration.

I hope this author puts more of her writing in Audible!

“Storm Lines” by Jessica L. Webb, narrated by Lula Larkin

This is a great book with wonderful, flawed, loveable characters. Constable Bridget “Marley” Marlowe and Dr. Devon Wolfe make a fantastic couple. The story is suspenseful and beautiful. Add a touch of danger and it’s perfect!

Luka Larkin did a wonderful job narrating this interesting, romantic story!

Excellent crime thriller.

Great characters. I love how deeply we get to explore them. Devon and Marley seem believeable.

I love the setting in Hamilton Ontario.

I was immersed in the story and found myself being protective of, and cheering the progress of the secondary characters, Clara and Amy.

Interesting Premise

Jessica L. Webb excels at building relationships and is a master of unusual and interesting premises and this work is no exception. The story is solid but, unfortunately, the narrator did not work for me. Just a personal preference.
