About this listen

When enemies fall into temptation, love brings out the most delicious flavor of all.

Marigold Lavender lights up every room she enters. Then, she’s left to turn out the lights and head home alone. Soft on the inside and a go-getter on the outside, Marigold just wants to make sure everyone else is okay before worrying about herself. When an awful big-city food critic trashes her sister Aster’s new restaurant, Marigold pauses her search for her own happily-ever to go to war with the woman, who happens to be just as delectable as she is sour.

Alexis Wakefield’s brutal honesty is what makes her successful. Her listeners trust her judgment, and a few sharp strokes from her keyboard can make or break a new restaurant. When, on a whim, she reviews a small-town eatery getting lots of buzz, the owner’s sister sabotages everything, leaving her professional world in jeopardy. Marigold Lavender has gone too far, and must pay for the damage she's caused.

Seemed longer than necessary

The story got a little long about half way through so I stopped took a break went back and finished a few days later. The story was unique and I liked the close Lavendar Family and the way they supported each other. I wasn’t crazy about the narrator but she was adequate. I probably won’t read the other books in the series.

This author has other books I have enjoyed.

Another fantastic Melissa Brayden offering

I’ve never met a book by this author I haven’t loved but this series in particular is amazing. I love Lulu Larkin as the narrator too.

This was an OK book

I was very much into it through most of the book, but then it started to drag itself and I had to skip a little. I liked the MC and narration was good.

Can Ms. Brayden find more Lavenders?

This book delivers, and I didn’t want it to end. I need more stories about them. Perhaps a long-lost sapphic cousin who finds them from a DNA website…

Love The Lavenders!!

Melissa Brayden is gifted, no doubt. I just can’t get enough of the Lavenders! I didn’t want this to end and had the same experience with the first book; The Last Lavender Sister, which I’ve listened to more than once. Can’t say enough good. Thanks for another fantastic experience.

A wonderful continuation with the Lavender Family

An enemies to lovers story that keeps you going and sometimes even holding your breathe.

Well written and paced just perfectly with enough twists and turns in the story to keep it interesting. Admittedly you know there's going to be a H.E.A. waiting at the end but how it gets there is a great journey.

it's amazing that it's so darn compelling to read even if the end isn't a surprise.

The audio was also very well done. I'm so glad they used the narrator as her voice IS those characters. it was nice to hear them again.

Highly recommend this book..

Beautiful enemies to lovers story…

You can never go wrong with a Melissa Brayden story. The characters are easy to fall in love with, to the point I was bummed when I finished. I wanted more of them! This book does not disappoint!
