About this listen

In Colorado Territory, Smoke Jensen is trying to live at peace with the big, beautiful world around him. Then a tinhorn named Puddle enters his valley — and unleashes a hellstorm of a range war.

Malcolm Theodore Puddle is a 21-year shipping clerk — from way back East. What is he doing out here? The Mountain Man’s former neighbor, Humbolt Puddle, has died and left his crumbling 600-acre ranch to his only living heir, just as a greedy and ruthless cattle baron is circling the Humbolt ranch like a ravenous vulture. Poor, unsuspecting Puddle is walking into a death trap. Smoke is the not the pitying kind. But any enemy of Smoke’s neighbor is his enemy, too: Kill-crazy hired gunmen are threatening the whole valley and good men are dying. Puddle may not be much, but he’s all Smoke has — as a take-no-prisoners mountain man and a timid tinhorn make for an army of two...in one hell of a fight.

Performed by Mort Shelby, James Lewis, Christopher Scheeren, James Keegan, Jonathan Watkins, Tim Getman, Terence Aselford, Richard Rohan, Drew Kopas, Tim Carlin, Christopher Graybill, Steven Carpenter, Michael Glenn, Bradley Smith, David Coyne, Alexander Strain, Thomas Keegan, Eric Messner, Tim Pabon, Michael John Casey, Colleen Delany, Elizabeth Jernigan, David Harris, Danny Gavigan, Joe Brack, Thomas Penny, Nick DePinto, Ken Jackson, Evan Casey, Dylan Lynch, Lily Beacon, Scott McCormick, Nanette Savard, Casie Platt.

Beware of the French

I enjoyed this book. I was happy to see that none of the man characters were able to be safe. I hope that Melcomb Bundle becomes a regular in future books.

Strike of the Mountain Man (Smoke)

This is another good adventure in the life of Smoke Jensen. In this book a foriener moves in and wants to have the largest ranch. He wants to be bigger than Smoke. He buys what he can than comes up with a way to get the rest by any method necessary. It's up to Smoke to save the day. This is a five star book in my opinion. This is a movie in your mind style of book with several narrators. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
