Absolutely Beautiful

This is the seventh book in the For You Series with well-developed characters. Kai is newley widowed and a single father who is trying to find his way and not let the grief and depression swallow him whole. Morgan is a psychiatric and has a childhood development center. Morgan is no stranger to grief and is extremely patient man who just want to help Kai. Their friendship blossoms into so much more. The narration was very well done.

Achingly Sweet

I cannot imagine losing my significant other as she was giving birth to my child, then having to raise her by myself while dealing with the grief of that. J.P. Oliver captured the grief of a spouse with Kai's character oh so well. Throw in the patience of Morgan who was fighting his own ghost and you have to very well written characters.

The story was great as well as the narration.

I have to say that even though each book in the For You series are standalone, read the rest. They are beyond worth a credit.

Incredibly Sweet

This is a great addition to thus spectacular series. Kai is recently widowed with a newborn baby and doesn't know how to move on. Morgan is incredibly sweet but also still dealing with a lot of grief from his tragic past. These two broken men are absolutely beautiful and incredibly sweet together. I admire Morgan's strength and the patience and understanding that he has for Kai is incredible. It was heartbreaking what these two men have been through but a joy to watch them coming together and learning to move on. The narrator did a great job with the characters and with the story itself. Oh Kai🤗🤗🤗

Just as good as the ones before, but also different. This one will definitely make you ugly cry. In this one J.P. Oliver takes on the heavy subject matter of dealing with grief. While trying to piece his life back together Kai met Morgan. Eventhough it was a mutual instant attraction, I like that they became friends who flirted before it got serious. There were some obstacles along the way with insensitive grandparents, and Kai's misconceptions of what his wife would have wanted for their daughter. Morgan sweet and caring nature along with Kai's brother and friends help make this emotional book one of my favorites. Guillaume Dubois again was wonderful with his interpretation of the characters.

sweet

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: Well written characters and a good pace. Story line is among the heavier of the series, dealing with loss, grief and healing. Kai and Morgan's relationship develops at a nice pace. This story has all the emotions and was a nice way to tie up the series.

Narrator comment: I enjoyed Guillaume Dubois narration of Strong for You, believable inflections bought life and emotion to the characters adding to the overall story.

Last in series

I’m beginning to think one third of Harlan population maybe gay. 😀 That being said this is the last book in this series and what a great way to end the series. We’ve meet Wren now we get to meet his big brother Kai Lee who has just suffered a major loss when his wife died in child birth, and the only thing keeping him going has been his new baby daughter Maya. Kai Lee eventually gets his life together a bit to come and visit his brother Wren and this is where he meets Morgan he finds out that Morgan runs a childcare centre and eventually enrolls Maya there so he can return to work. This is where things start to heat up but it’s not all smooth sailing for this couple. This story was enjoyable as always. And again Guillaume does a great job narrating this story.

LOVE COMES IN MANY FORMS - ACCEPT IT

I loved the story plot, but after reading ‘Return for You’, there were two glaring mistakes concerning Kai’s wife. In ‘Return for You’, she is Mary and is having twins. In ‘Strong for You’, she is Liz and gave birth to one child – no mention of a second one. The story line is great and I was pleased to see that it showed people need counseling – no matter their profession. I loved the way Morgan took to Kai and Maya – made my heart melt. I was amazed at the tough love Wren gave to his brother, Kai. The general theme and plot came out amazing; regardless of the errors. Bigotry and enlightenment are shown.

The narration is better in this story. I could tell that emotion was being shown and it added to the sense of being there. 4.5 stars for narration.

Emotional listen

This might be my favorite if the series so sad and healing. Deals with a lot of heavy topics but definitely worth the listen.
