About this listen

This book is a collection of intimate and sometimes shocking conversations about success. Each story will inspire, enlighten, and entertain you.

In Success, not only did I seek to discover what motivates high achievers, but I also dug for the philosophies that lead to success.

During these interviews, I asked uncomfortable questions that led to answers that often surprised even the athletes being interviewed, because it is the subconscious mind that drives most ambitious people to achieve.

Each athlete came from a diverse background, but there were common themes that every reader can embrace and model in their own lives.

A key takeaway was how each fighter defined success - often their answers contradicted societal norms.

Jiu-Jitsu has often been used as a metaphor for life, but in these stories, you can replace Jiu-Jitsu with any ambitious pursuit - the lessons are universal.

Get ready for an intense journey.

Great book. Both of them. Must read or listen. Hoping for a 3rd book of this series!

Chuck Rylant is an inspirational man

Here is an outline of the chapters I read:
1. Here's a guy who had a rough upbringing.
2. Excruciating detail about his upbringing, blah, blah blah. That' most of the chapter, his sad story.
3. Chapter ends quickly saying BJJ turned his life around. Not how it turned his life around, just that it did.
4. End of chapter.

No lessons learned for me.

Got through five chapters...all the same
