About this listen

A new stand-alone novel in the Brooklyn Bruisers world!

Sometimes lady luck shakes your hand, and sometimes she smacks your face. Sometimes she does both on the same day. Three years ago, I met the most amazing girl in the world. We were both down on our luck. Then I got that call - the one that tells you to get your buns on a plane to go meet your destiny.

But the girl was left behind. I didn’t have her phone number, and she didn’t know my real name. While I became a professional hockey player, she became a superstar, with platinum records and legions of fans. And a slick music producer boyfriend who treated her badly. But fate wasn’t done with us yet.

When Delilah turns up at a hockey game, I can’t resist making contact. The internet swoons when I ask her out on a date. She might not remember me. But her jerk-face ex does. He’ll do anything to keep us apart. Good thing athletes never give up. This time I’m playing to win.

Great finish to the series.

I assume this is the finish of the Brooklyn Bruisers series and it was perfect. I adore Silas and so wanted him to find his true love. This second chance romance is just what I wanted and brought all the feels. Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose were perfect for this couple. Highly recommend!

ff

I liked the book, the hero is this super sweet guy, a hockey player that has been cut from possible team after college. He is working as bartender and meets a musician girl, they are a great pair but due to circumstances lose touch for 3yrs.
It takes her awhile to get her music career going but she is now a big deal in music. However her former boyfriend/manager has her under contract and won't let her go.
This book has romance, good characters, some suspense and relatively low on drama and lots of sweetness.

A sure hope this isn’t the last Brooklyn Bruisers!

Finally got to listen to Silas’s story and Sarina Bowen didn’t disappoint! Loved the interaction with the characters from previous books, whenever I think I have a favorite player, I fall in love with a new one. Please don’t make this be the end!

I could not out it down!

I didn't want to stop listening to this book! I loved the story line and the narration. I learned that you have to not put things off, if want something or someone go for it. Missed opportunities and refers for what we don't do is the worst.

Superfan is a delight and a must read!

Well, Sarina Bowen has officially created a fantastic new trope in this hockey player/rock star pairing! So fun! Who knew Silas was going to be so sweet and romantic? Swoon! I loved Delilah- super smart and sassy with so much drive. What a fantastic pairing. The second chance romance was a perfect slow burn. Although Superfan can be read as a standalone, it was fun to see other Brooklyn Bruiser characters that we have gotten to know- Rebecca and Nate's wedding was a special treat. Superfan is a delight and a must read! Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose both gave excellent performances.

Superfan Rocks!

I love listening to the Brooklyn Bruisers. Superfan is as wonderful in audio as it is in paper. Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose are amazing narrators, and did a wonderful job with Superfa. Aaron Shedlock’s performance as Silas is spot on. He has this quiet and soothing voice that fits Silas personality perfectly. And he is sexy too. And Virginia Rose was delightful as Delilah. Her voice is raspy and conveys a strong personality, but also vulnerability. She’s wonderful as Delilah. I could listen to this book forever. It’s so good!

Sometimes it is really hard to put so many feelings and impressions into words. Sarina Bowen is one of the best writers I’ve ever read, and she gets even better with each book she writes. There’s something magical about her voice that never fails to enchant me. I admire her talent so much, and always look forward to reading her, even when I’ve read the book 15 times already.

I love everything about her books. She writes about strong, independent women and strong and respectful men. In my opinion, her characters are so lovable because they are actually good people, and they are relatable to readers because they feel like real people, even if they are professional hockey players or raising music stars.

One of her trademarks is her ability to make you feel so much, to laugh and cry at the same time. She’s hilarious without trying to be funny. She’s truly a master storyteller.

Superfan is Sarina Bowen’s latest hockey romance, and it’s a complete standalone novel, the latest addition to her Brooklyn Bruisers world, and one of her best yet. I sincerely recommend people to read all of the books, though. You might want to anyway, they’re all extraordinary. It’s always difficult for me to choose favorites when I’m talking about Sarina Bowen’s books, but Superfan is beyond spectacular. Finding words to describe my feelings about this book is almost impossible. It’s simply perfect. The story is fast-paced, intriguing, sexy, hot, surprising, sweet, romantic; everything a romance novel needs to be awesome.

Silas Kelly is the sweetest guy alive, but man is sexy! Wow, he caught me off-guard. He’s definitely my new favorite book boyfriend. His chemistry with Delilah is off-the-charts hot and so intense. They are perfect for each other. Delilah is a raising music star with some confidence issues, but she’s strong and independent, she knows what she wants and how to get it. And Silas needs to show her that what she wants and needs is him.

I loved Superfan. So, so much. I would give it ten stars if I could. Or twenty. I would love for people to read it, because I can assure everyone, there’s nobody quite like Silas. And everybody needs Silas in their lives.

Love the Brooklyn Bruisers

It was great to finally get Silas' story. At times I didn't always love Delilah and some of the dumb choices she made to drive the plot along, but I could get over those parts because I love the world of the Brooklyn Bruisers so much. Silas was terrific - kind, funny and sweet. It was fun to see the characters from previous books as well.

I enjoyed Aaron Shedlock's voice, except he had this very annoying habit of "sighing" out the last word of every sentence. I heard an interview with him, and he didn't do it then, but for some reason he does it A LOT when he narrates. I hope he can break this habit, or at least not do it quite as frequently. It detracts from his otherwise great performance. Virginia Rose sounded a bit too old for Delilah and something about her performance didn't match the way the character was written, at least for me.

Overall I enjoyed the book and hope Sarina Bowen will continue to write about the Brooklyn Bruisers. Great series.

I am a Brooklyn SuperFan

I have read every book in the series and was glad to see Silas get his story. His past was a bit of a mystery the book was what I expected a well paced romance/action.

My favorite so far!

So far, this has been my favorite of the series which is an accomplishment because I really enjoyed the others! Silas and Delilah are the perfect combination of super sweet people with some insecurities from their teenage years. I LOVE Silas and how caring he is for everyone in his life and their love story is just too sweet for words. How do you write a pop star and a hockey player romance in a new way? Have them meet as nobodies and reconnect in a twitter exchange! It was a total chef’s kiss!

Silas, the goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers, is the biggest fan of pop star Delilah Sparks. His whole team teases him about it but love it at the same time. What they don’t know is that Silas and Delilah met before and spent a whole summer getting to know each other, but never had that first date. Then their lives took them separate ways. One day the stars align at a playoff game. Georgia magics a jersey and a note to Delilah while the team watches from NY and then Silas’s tweets catch Delilah’s PR manager’s eye and they have a date!

This was a super sweet story and I LOVED how Delilah gave Silas the benefit of the doubt at one point in the story. So often characters are distrusting and this was a refreshing plot element. I LOVED the Mr. Muscles storyline and really all the fabulous side characters made the story so much more fun. I highly recommend this read and better yet, get the audio. Aaron Shedlock and Virginia Rose were fenomenal together.
