I wouldn’t call it bad, but definitely not good

Narrator is awful and obviously non Medical as many words are pronounced wrong. Some of the surgical techniques may be helpful to a classroom student who hasn’t even learned how to scrub in yet, but if you’re on surgery rotation don’t waste your time here.

Bad narrator: don't hire a layperson for education

I don't think the narrator is in medicine. She is monotone and does not pronounce the terminology well. She's not lecturing or teaching a subject, but she's rather reading a string of words that make no sense to her. Difficult to follow, especially for a difficult subject.

I recommend the Great Courses: Medical School for Everyone instead. I'm going to try to get a refund for this purchase.

Not sure who this book is written for.

As a graduate of medicine, I took a listen through this book to review my surgical knowledge. I often questioned their choice of material to present. I dont belive surgery can be explained (especially if you're actually studying for medical or surgical boards) with this book. The questions weren't at all eye opening either. However, if you enjoy a reject version of "Siri" talking about random surgical facts, this book may be for you.
