Without warning, the dead rose overnight. A small group of survivors fled civilization in hope of finding safety. The dead are always close behind, and often straight ahead. They have an insatiable hunger for living flesh. Not everyone will survive. Hopes will be crushed, strengths and weaknesses will be tested, and bonds will be broken.

Great Book

I didn’t enjoy his narrator as much as the first book but she did a great job. Her county boy accent made Gus sound stupid and her own accent sometimes got in the way but all in all she still did a great job. I just tend to hate it when a series changes narrators after one has been established. I already downloaded book 3 to start today. Love the zombie genre and this one has a few new ideas and that doesn’t happen very often.

Great second book in series

Like the first book, this one is just OK too. Sadly, I still have the same complaint with the stereotypical male and female. The big thing with this book that I didn't understand is the change of narrators. The narrator for this book, in my opinion, is not as good as the narrator of the first book. This narrator isn't as good at voices (specifically accents) and there are a few odd pronunciations peppered throughout the book. It's like she was unfamiliar with the word and just read it phonetically, which isn't always how words are pronounced. Anyway, this is a minor complaint, because I was able to finish the book. I'll move on the the next book in the series, but unless the next narrator is better, I'm not sure I will continue beyond book 3.
