About this listen

An unputdownable hood love that'll grab you from the very first second to the last word.

"I believe in love. I jus' don't want it," says the young handsome thug Kilo Ben-Ari, a man haunted by the traumatic love story of his mother. He's determined to guard his heart until a vulnerable Dream crosses his path and forces him to question everything he thought he knew about love.

Dream, a woman betrayed by the only person she ever trusted, seeks refuge in the arms of a wealthy man who promises to help her heal. But as her heart mends, she finds herself entangled in a web of lies and manipulation that threatens to consume her. Will she rise above the deceit or be forever trapped in the shadows of her past?

Now Journee is a whole other issue, a driven high school senior focused on escaping the suffocating grasp of Montgomery, Alabama. Her carefully laid plans are disrupted when she encounters a boss with a lot of motion that she barely knows, whose allure makes her question all she thought she wanted. In the face of desire, will she risk everything for a chance at true love?

Taken by a Wealthy Man masterfully intertwines the lives of Kilo, Dream, and Journee in a gripping hood romance of passion, deceit, and drama. As they navigate the treacherous waters of love and betrayal, they must confront their darkest fears and ultimately decide what they're willing to sacrifice for a chance at redemption.

50% LGBQ, yuk

I dont like being tricked into reading homosexual books. Im not into that and I dont appreciate being tricked into reading about graphic gay love stories. No wonder they make no mention about Maisy and Journey in the synopsis. Ill skip this author in the future.
