About this listen

The storm rages on, leaving death and destruction in its path. With the chaos comes strange tidings and wicked ordeals.

From C.R. Langille, author of the Dark Tyrant Series comes a collection of weird and horrifying stories spanning all across history: the Spanish Conquest; the Old West; present day; and even a desolate, apocalyptic future.

Haunted hotel rooms, mysterious, mind-bending spots, infernal cargo, and misplaced wishes abound in this collection.

Stories Included:

  • "The Spot"
  • "Brine & Blood"
  • "The Deep Well"
  • "All Aboard"
  • "Damned"
  • "The Scratch"
  • "Horishi Tom"

Only one thing is certain when the storm passes by - nothing will ever be the same again.

Great stories told very well. Inventive, unafraid to tackle big ideas and a hell of a lot of fun.

A hell of a lot of fun

From the very first sentence with the horses or pulling a real truck bed like a cart I knew this book was going to be good. The stories are set at different times in our history and some were a little slow getting started but all worth listening to. Either this man is demented or has a abundance of imagination either way it’s a win-win for the reader. I love the narrator and thought he did an awesome job and should do more books like this or at least stories like this but overall it was pretty good as for the individual stories as I said some started slow but it was worth listening to until then. I highly recommend this book if you love scary anthologies like I do.

A pretty freaking awesome book!

An interesting collection of short stories. I did not find them to be horrifying as the blurb state but some do grab your attention. These stories move along at a good pace and a few had me wishing there was more to the story. Narrator Kris DeCarle was easy to listen to and keeps the stories moving along. I received a free audiobook code in exchange for an honest review.

A better narrator would help. Like the narrator for his story on Tales to Terriffy.

His stories are great!

These stories were ok.I did not find them to be scarey and some I did not even find the plotline. Kris DeCarle was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

The story writing is top notch. The creepy/horror factor is on 10. Everything is perfect. Well.... damn near perfect. Almost perfect. The only thing I wish were the case would probably be a narrator with a deepish voice. Someone like Larry Anderson who narrated Psycho's Medley by Terry M West. BUT STILL, The stories are finely polished. My favorites are , The Deep Well. The spot. Actually, Theyre all great!

Excellent work. I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review
