From anxiety to calm–discover how to get your teen to grow into a confident and independent adult!

According to the National Institute of Health, nearly one in three of all adolescents ages 13 to 18 experience an anxiety disorder. And this number is constantly rising.

With high expectations and pressure to succeed in a world that feels scary and unknown, teens struggle to find their place and identity.

This guide will show you how you can help your teen manage their anxiety and prepare them to navigate life with confidence.

Here is just a small fraction of what you will discover inside:

  • Characteristics and types of anxiety so you recognize the symptoms early on–don’t let their anxiety interfere with their lives.
  • Effective coping skills to help them function better despite their anxiety–from yoga and meditation to deep breathing and intentional movements.
  • A teen nutrition guide packed with quick-fix healthy recipes–learn what they should eat so anxiety doesn’t eat at them.
  • Ten tips to help them have better sleep and lower anxiety levels.
  • Who to contact in case of a crisis–don’t fumble through the yellow pages when every minute wasted could be the difference between life or death.
  • Over 15 proven CBT-based techniques and worksheets to help your teen get over their negative thoughts and learn useful skills such as goal setting and problem-solving.

And much more!

Life won’t get any easier for your teen as they grow up. And you won’t always be there to hold their hand through the difficult moments.

But they already have it in them to tackle any obstacle, including their anxiety–and this guide will empower them with the skills to do that.

If you want your teen to have a normal, anxiety-free life, then you need to listen to this audiobook.

Strengthen mental core.

Almost every 8/10 people surrounding me either they are teens or adults I found they all going with anxiety and depression including me. That leads to us some critical disorders.

But when I found this audiobook, it gives me a ray of new hope, so that not me even every depressed person can easily recover from anxiety. The most important thing which is discussed in this book that how mental health and mental peace is important to regulate yourself.

The narrator of this book give some peaceful meditation which work very well to improve stress and to strengthen especially my mental core.

Anxiety, CBT and DBT Explained!

This book is relatable, well researched, and brings up every scenario that a teen with anxiety has to deal with on a daily basis.

It also explains different types of anxiety, how it feels to get triggered with each different type and the impact on the teen's performance, success, and developmental and emotional progress as a young adult.

This book is factual and example based, and it doesn't leave any stones unturned when it comes to this topic. It also shows all the current successful, and researched methods that can help with this condition.

CBT and DBT as well as associated examples with these therapy methods are well explained. I highly recommend this book to any one, specially those diagnosed with this condition. The narrator has a great voice and portrays author's caring tone throughout the book, really well.

Great Book.

Teenagers and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, tension, and difficulty making decisions will find "Taming Adolescent Anxiety with CBT and DBT" to be an amazing and practical resource that gives important help. This readable guide uses approaches from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) to help readers overcome anxiety, boost self-esteem, and make better choices in their lives.

The author's knowledge of psychology and treatment shines through in every chapter. They provide a thorough introduction to the causes and effects of adolescent anxiety, including school stresses, peer pressure, and difficulty making choices. The book provides a straightforward and approachable introduction to the ideas of CBT and DBT, showing their efficacy in dealing with anxiety-related issues.

The book's usefulness stands out as a key strength. The author provides several practical exercises and methods supported by scientific research. The book provides detailed instructions on how to change one's outlook and cultivate healthy coping skills, from recognising anxious thoughts and triggers to confronting negative thinking habits. The book's usefulness is increased by the inclusion of real-world examples and comprehensible case studies.

The author also stresses the significance of self-care, self-compassion, and creating a support network. Teens and young adults may get advice on how to deal with pressure, control their emotions, and boost their confidence in this book. The book's efficacy in fostering emotional well-being and resilience is amplified by the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies including mindfulness and emotion control.

The writing style is interesting, sympathetic, and mature enough for its intended audience of young people. The book is well-structured, with individual chapters devoted to distinct facets of dealing with anxiety and making choices. Readers are encouraged to actively participate in the learning process and put the concepts and tactics presented into practise by completing the accompanying activities, worksheets, and reflective questions.

Although this book provides a wealth of information, it's crucial to note that persons with severe anxiety or who need individualised care may benefit more from the assistance of a trained expert. There is no substitute for the experience and customised attention of mental health specialists, but this book is a great place to start.

Wonderful resource - as a psychiatrist and a parent

As a clinician, I find this book by a parent for parents and teens to be an invaluable resource. It is clear, concise and relatable in its explanation of both symptoms and the many varied tools teens and families can use to relieve suffering. It presents teen anxiety in a normalizing fashion and offers evidence based resources from a variety of therapies - many of the exact same resources, in fact, that I offer in my office. As a parent, I appreciate the author’s wit and warmth that makes kids and parents feel less alone and helpless in the face of anxiety. I plan to keep a stack of these books in my waiting room for anyone who wants extra help.
