About this listen
It’s finally here—an essential self-help book that treats you not as the victim of depression and anxiety but as the victor of a lifelong condition very few people have the guts to face head-on.
We all have bad days. We sleep through our alarm. We forget to do our homework. We wake up to a face full of fresh, oily zits that no amount of concealer and powder can hide. But what do you do when one bad day turns into one bad year, and no amount of sobbing and screaming under the covers can make that heavy, constricting, suffocating, sinking feeling in your chest go away?
It’s true—the kids are not alright. There is a rise in clinically diagnosed teenage depression and anxiety. On top of recovering from a global outbreak and navigating life as a teenager, you’re also grappling with intense feelings of hopelessness, fear, worry…and seemingly endless despair. Anxiety is no joke. Depression is not a game. These are real, debilitating conditions that affect a teenager’s ability to live, laugh, and enjoy life as a regular kid.
And you’re somehow expected to just...deal with it? You’re a teenager. You need better equipment. You need better information. You’ve memorized your multiplication tables and you know how to solve for x, but we’ve somehow forgotten to teach you stuff that matters: how to handle stress, shut off negative thoughts, and stop, close your eyes, and just breathe. This audiobook is going to rectify that by teaching you how to manage the detrimental effects of anxiety and/or depression on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health—in ways that are both effective and sustainable.
It offers both short-term, on-the-spot techniques to battle negative thought patterns and consistent, long-term solutions that promote healing and lasting treatment. Aside from the cognitive interventions you can use to combat negative thought spirals, you’ll also discover:
- The six most common anxiety disorders and how they can physically affect your body
- The key difference between a panic attack and an anxiety attack and why knowing it matters
- The 12 most common, telltale symptoms of teenage anxiety to help you check if that’s what you’re experiencing
- The three main principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, the current gold standard of psychotherapy!
- The sour candy panic attack hack to ease your mind and calm your body (as seen on TikTok!)
- Five simple household objects you can use to build yourself a first-aid kit for panic attacks
- What it means to have high-functioning anxiety—and why it’s not necessarily a good thing
- Common myths and misconceptions about adolescent anxiety and depression
- Healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with anxiety or depression triggers—avoidance is not one of them!
- Easy at-home hobbies you can do to combat depression and anxiety
- The 54321 grounding technique you can use to calm yourself down before or after a panic attack
- How weighted blankets, fidget toys, and meditation apps can give you much-needed relief
- And so much more.
You deserve a life free of fear, uncertainty, and anxiety. You deserve a life where you don’t have to second-guess every step you take and every day isn’t just another battle to fight.
This audiobook will give you the best tools possible to achieve that life. If you’re ready to begin the process of healing from anxiety and depression and wrestle back control of your life, then scroll up and click “Add to Cart” now!

Story
One day, I was at a restaurant with my wife, and as we were finishing up our meal, our server handed us a survey form. Realizing neither of us had a pen, my wife told me to ask the server if we could borrow one to fill out the form. Instead of doing this, I walked to the parking lot, retrieved a pen from our car, and walked back to our table. It would’ve been easier to just borrow a pen, but I opted for the route that involved less social interaction. I did this automatically, without even thinking.

Very relatable and a Must read
I found this book to be very relatable even to me, the ‘above 40-something’ generation.
Mental health is a serious issue and there is a Stigma associated with it that, especially for teens, is a difficult thing to handle. The symptoms of anxiety and depression are hard to understand by the folks that Don’t have it, they just don’t get it.
The case studies were interesting, and the coping strategies, I am sure, will be very helpful to many.

Equip Yourself with the Tools to Manage Stress
Anxiety and depression are challenging issues for teens, and this book offers valuable insights and strategies to manage those emotions effectively. "Anxiety and Depression in Teens" shows how cognitive interventions can help break the negative thought cycle. But there's much more to the book, including a thorough understanding of the six most common anxiety disorders and how they affect the body. You'll also learn the telltale symptoms of teenage anxiety. But the best part? The book goes beyond theory and offers practical tips and tricks. You'll learn the three main principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, the "sour candy panic attack hack" to calm your mind, and how five simple household objects can be used as a first-aid kit for panic attacks. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to build their confidence, manage their emotions, and overcome anxiety and depression.

Very helpful
There is evidence from research to support the information, and examples of potential remedies provided. Emotional, physical, and mental issues that are related with anxiety may be dealt with in a manner that is more successful if the sufferer learns to have a better understanding of themselves. To all teenagers, I would suggest paying attention to what they have to say in order to assist better. The aspect of this audiobook that I enjoyed the most was how it encouraged young people to see themselves as victorious in their fight against mental health issues such as anxiety and despair. The author encourages readers and listeners to feel more confident in their capacity to manage their mental health by giving useful coping methods, which they can use to take control of their thoughts and feelings and feel more empowered in their ability to do so.

An insightful and empowering audiobook
I recently listened to “Anxiety and Depression in Teens - Develop Mindfulness Strategies and Coping Skills to Manage Emotions, Control Your Thoughts, and Boost Confidence” and I couldn't be more impressed. This audiobook is an essential tool for anyone struggling with anxiety and depression, especially teenagers.
The introduction emphasizes the prevalence of these mental health issues among teens and the many possible causes, which made me feel less alone in my struggle. The chapter on mindfulness techniques was particularly helpful for me, as someone who struggles with racing thoughts and anxiety. Learning about mindfulness meditation and how to pay attention to the present moment without judgment has already made a huge difference in my mental health.
But what I loved most about this audiobook is how it empowers teenagers to view themselves as conquerors in their battle against anxiety and depression. By providing practical coping mechanisms, the author encourages listeners to take control of their thoughts and emotions and feel more confident in their ability to manage their mental health.
The narrator was such a pleasure to listen to, and the audiobook is full of valuable information and strategies to help anyone struggling with anxiety and depression. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and empowering tool to manage their mental health.

Powerful and compassionate
"Anxiety and Depression in Teens: Develop Mindfulness Strategies and Coping Skills to Manage Emotions, Control Your Thoughts, and Boost Confidence" by Grace Taylor is an incredibly insightful book that offers valuable support for teenagers facing anxiety and depression. I found the book to be a genuine and empathetic resource.
The author focuses on empowering teenagers to view themselves as conquerors in their battle against anxiety and depression, rather than portraying them as victims.
One aspect that I particularly appreciated was the book's emphasis on practical coping mechanisms. It offers a variety of strategies that are easy to implement in daily life. From the sour candy panic attack hack to the 54321 grounding technique, thus providing tangible tools for managing anxiety and depression. The author encourages the incorporation of healthy hobbies and the use of relaxation aids like weighted blankets and meditation apps, which can provide relief.
Also helpful is its debunking of common myths and misconceptions surrounding adolescent anxiety and depression this helps to create a more supportive and understanding environment for teenagers. The book also guides readers in recognizing and challenging negative thought patterns, managing stress, and developing the skills to regain control of their thoughts and emotions.
This is a compassionate and informative book that offers practical strategies for managing anxiety and depression. If you are a teenager struggling with anxiety and depression or know someone who is, this book can help you understand and overcome depression and anxiety and improve the quality of your life.

Compassionate, and evidence based resource
This is a no nonsense, compassionate resource for teens who have been struggling with anxiety/depression. The author and narrator talk to their listeners with respect, and gives them a sense of autonomy and value in order to help cope with their emotions. Each strategy is based on real life conditions, with solid examples, to help ultimately guide to a balanced, and emotionally healthy outcome.
The narrator also really talks in a way that reflects the writing content, and clearly also cares about the subject matter, which delivers in her narration.
