- For all you vegetable and herb growers out there looking to add tea to your plant repertoire. Tea often partners well with many herbs, as herbs and tea are often combined to create flavored teas and blends.
- For all you entrepreneurs out there looking to potentially start your own specialty tea brand. This is the place to get started not only in understanding tea theory, but in how to get growing, experimenting, and creating your very own special blend.
- And finally, for those of you looking to save a bit of money on your hefty monthly tea bill by growing your own. Save your money and the environment while you are at it. It’s a win-win.
You may not be one of the four people above, but you know someone who fits the bill. This audiobook is a perfect gift for the adventurous grower or avid tea drinker.
What will you be guaranteed to learn in this book?
- What is and isn't tea, and the six major types of tea. We look at the various plants used in caffeinated and non-caffeinated herbal and fruit infusions.
- What makes quality tea beyond flavor and aroma? You will learn how to assess the six other ways of gauging a good-quality tea prior to purchase.
- Tired of the teas available to you? Take a trip with me across the seven continents as I delve into the teas, blends, and infusions from around the world to whet your appetite and expand your tea tasting experience.
- Next, we come to growing your own tea in your own back garden. Didn't think it was possible? I will walk you through the process step by step and show you how to grow from seed, cutting, seedling, or from a pre-purchased plant.
- Learn how to maintain and prune your plant to make it a fruitful and bountiful tea bush to provide you with as much tea as your needs require.
- I will then show you the methods for the home processing of the six major types of tea at home with no specialized equipment.
- Learn how to make decaffeinated tea at home with no special equipment or chemicals. The home method detailed will remove 83 percent of caffeine.
- Once you've processed your tea leaves, you will need to store them. After decaf tea, I talk briefly about storage.
- Protecting your plant is key. We will look at the major tea pests and diseases and countermeasures leaning heavily on organic and non-chemical-based deterrents where required.
- Discover how to do basic cultivation between your tea plants at home to grow tea seeds with characteristics from the mother and father plant.
- Finally, try the 40 food and drink recipes you can do at home using your own homegrown tea or any other tea in your cupboards. This will ensure your tea does not go to waste and will expand your use of tea even further.
Join me on this journey as I give you a kickstart into the world of tea growing and cultivation.

Many parents dread talking to their kids about money in fear of opening pandora’s box. But firstly, that box is probably already open; you will be surprised at what kids soak up from their friends, what they see on TV and on social media, and what they hear you talking about at home. And secondly, if it isn’t already, it likely will be soon, and this will be out of your control. It may be better if we actually open this box from time to time anyway. Not talking to your kids about money can actually make them think that money is something to fear.

Story
Is bourbon the quintessential American liquor? Bourbon is not just alcohol - the amber-colored drink is deeply ingrained in American culture and tangled in American history. From the early days of raw corn liquor to the myriad distilleries that have proliferated around the country today, bourbon is a symbol of the United States. This course traces bourbon's entire history, from the 1700s, with Irish, Scottish, and French settlers setting up stills and making distilled spirits in the New World, through today's booming resurgence.

We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

Story
Bees are like oxygen: ubiquitous, essential, and, for the most part, unseen. While we might overlook them, they lie at the heart of relationships that bind the human and natural worlds. In Buzz, the beloved Thor Hanson takes us on a journey that begins 125 million years ago, when a wasp first dared to feed pollen to its young. From honeybees and bumbles to lesser-known diggers, miners, leafcutters, and masons, bees have long been central to our harvests, our mythologies, and our very existence. They've given us sweetness and light, the beauty of flowers, and as much as a third of the foodstuffs we eat. And, alarmingly, they are at risk of disappearing.

Story
Sourdough bread fueled the labor that built the Egyptian pyramids. The Roman Empire distributed free sourdough loaves to its citizens to maintain political stability. More recently, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, sourdough bread baking became a global phenomenon as people contended with being confined to their homes and sought distractions from their fear, uncertainty, and grief. In Sourdough Culture, environmental science professor Eric Pallant shows how throughout history, sourdough bread baking has always been about survival.

Excellent book
I didn't know I could grow my own tea, and this could save me money and time. Learn how to make decaffeinated tea at home with no special equipment or chemicals in this book about the benefits of tea. I will have to find a space in my backyard and start seeding my tea. You'll find a variety of teas that aren't available in your area. This is a fantastic narration. Worth listening to.

Who wants a cuppa?
Who would have thought I could grow my own tea! I am an avid tea drinker and love trying new leaves. This book is a wealth of knowledge on teas but also a really enjoyable listen. There is an abundance of infusions that I am now excitedly experimenting with! Even if you don't imagine yourself growing your own tea, this book is still a great investment. I can't wait to try my own blends! Thanks to the author for some much needed tea-spiration!

This book is packed with a bunch of practical recipes that I would have never expected or would have thought about. Super inspirational. The content is unique and rich and the author is clearly well-experienced in everything tea.
The narration quality is top notch, unlike other audiobooks I've gone through.
