One thing I learned from this audiobook was that you should never take more than 1/3 of the plant, and that herbs should be individually stored in different bags.
This audiobook was well-researched, and the author clearly has a passion for the topic. The information is easily digestible for a beginner. Highly recommend!

The author encourages us to “Be an ethical forager and not a pillager”. This was SO profound !!! I was like Yes!! Sometimes when we find a good thing we want to get as much as we can for fear of it running out. The author lets us know that we shouldn’t
harvest more than 1/3 of plant so it can continue to grow and be fruitful, thus making even more amazing edibles for us to consume !
I really enjoyed listening to the recipes as well. It’s one thing to search for these amazing finds, but it’s another to know how to properly utilize them as a tasty addition to our daily meals.
I also appreciate that the author gives us warning signs of which items are not edible and what to look for in terms of making sure we don’t make the mistake of eating something we’re not supposed to eat! It takes great wisdom and knowledge to be able to forage effectively.
Listening to the recipes with the mushrooms. Yummy —my favorite! I am partial to mushroom risotto all day everyday! :-)
A big thumbs up to the author for all of this incredible information presented in an interesting and uplifting way!
