Teach your kids the valuable skill of financial literacy today, and watch them unlock boundless opportunities in the future!

The financial burden of the average American household continues to rise, with no indication that this trend will slow down.

This is due, in part, to many people not receiving meaningful guidance on money management while growing up.

Instead, they picked up the same misguided money habits that stop most people from achieving true financial independence.

It’s no wonder that so many adults often find themselves trapped in continuous cycles of financial instability…which is why it is crucial you break this cycle, and set your child up with the skills and tools they need to be smart about money. With this guidebook as your navigator, your child will join the path taken by those who have already secured a prosperous financial future.

In this guide, here is just a fraction of what you will discover:

  • Fun and engaging activities to practice building valuable money habits with your child
  • That patience pays off: Why teaching your child to wait for what they want can help you both resist making impulse purchases
  • Child-focused savings accounts that come with tax breaks and benefits
  • Requirements for laying a strong foundation for loan approval later in life by building a strong credit score at an early age
  • The importance of having minimal to no debt, and how to lead your child down the same path
  • Budgeting: The whys and hows, and what a budget must feature to work for kids
  • How you can spark the fire of passion and ambition in your child, from kid-friendly business ideas to strategies for bringing their entrepreneurial dreams to life
  • And much more.

It's never too early to learn the basics of financial literacy.

Lead by example and teach your children—or even yourself—good fiscal behaviors for a more secure future!

Equip your child, so they can take charge of their financial future.

Teaching Financial Literacy to Children

"Teaching Kids Good Money Habits" encourages parents to teach their children the value of money--sooner rather than later.  The author covers just about every financial concept and situation a kid is likely to experience as they grow; the in-depth manner of each chapter reads like a lesson plan--explaining the simplest lessons at first and moving through to the more complex financial habits that can pave the road to a prosperous financial future.

I especially appreciate the emphasis on teaching--and modeling--delayed gratification to produce contentment, and starting when a child is young.  Prompting parents to delve into the process to assist their child through each concept, the author gives step-by-step, easy-to-understand directives that will help build character and instill financial discipline for the child's future.  It's like a well-conceived "To Do" list for shepherding children from zero knowledge to financial stability.  I intend to give copies to friends and family who have upcoming youngsters who will need this expertise and I'll definitely refer back to it as our family's financial literacy textbook.  Definitely a worthwhile read!

Amazing and Educative!

A financial literacy guide to help children learn the use of money and how to properly save and invest.
Catch them young they say, I must add that any child that gets the opportunity to listen and digest this audiobook can never be found wanting in financial issues.

The author described a lot of terms that help in being financially responsible but first introducing a child to the meaning and use of money is paramount. Then he went on to discuss the importance of saving, good and bad debt, credit scores, the avalanche, snowball and 50-30-20 rules of spending money.

An all-round informative and educational audiobook. I will totally recommend it.

Necessary reading!

Everyone should read this book! As the author describes, most parents have not been taught how to manage money and therefore get stuck in some of the traps that are talked about in this book. Opportunity costs, contentment and delayed gratification are all concepts discussed in this book that are not discussed in school, but can really aid us in proper financial decision making. I didn't learn about opportunity costs until college and now I crosses my mind every day when making buying decisions. This book is a great listen and will help you and your teen bring money concepts and ideas to the front of mind so we aren't blindly falling victim to the advertising world.

Instilling good concepts early

I love how this audiobook teaches parents how to talk about concepts like money, work, and investing in a way kids will understand. Moreover, it dives into the why. Why is it important to talk positively about work? Why chores for money is important. Why investing is important even for a 10-year-old. Since listening to this book, I have started giving money for chores - the harder the chore, the more the $$$. Additionally, my family had a yard sale where the kids were able to sell their old toys, and they got the cash for it. I take them to the dollar store and let them buy things with the money they have earned. This sense of financial independence has instilled in them key concepts like how much things cost, taxes, and is something worth the work it took to earn the money to buy it.

Our favorite chapter was the one about borrowing money since it goes into details about the matter. Overall really recommend this book to raise smart kids since money is going to be a very important part of their lives.
