Body Dysmorphia: Moving Toward Healing
This author does a fabulous job of touching on the pain points people experience when dealing with Body Dysmorphia Disorder and gives us observers a glimpse into the challenges a BDD sufferers face. This book is especially helpful in that it provides descriptions of various therapies and exercises specifically geared toward breaking the stronghold of BDD that can be used in private to encourage baby steps forward in the journey toward healing. I am very glad to have this resource to have helped me gain a better understanding so I can be a true support to those who have this terrible affliction.

The Importance of Body Image
This book by author Caldwell Ramsey delves into a very prevalent but under-reported health issue. It is very difficult to estimate the statistical value of prevalence because it is a broad spectrum issue, and many people suffer in silence with it. This book sheds light on the issue and exposes the phenomenon surrounding it. This is a disorder that compels many to have cosmetic surgeries one after the other and never achieve satisfaction, and others to cross borders to obtain cheaper surgical procedures that leave many maimed or dead. Very little is said about it, and almost no public exposure of it. I highly recommend this book for everyone, especially our teenage population. Even if you do not think you have any level of body image issue, it will prompt you to evaluate the way you think of yourself and take action if needed.

This audiobook tackles a very important issue, body dysmorphia, in a very supportive and non-judgemental way. I had always heard the term but never really stopped and thought about how pervasive it was and all the ways it impacts my own life. This audiobook really helped me realize how we internalize things from negative thoughts, social media, and external comparisons. This is a great resource on your way to healing.

Learn to expel those bad thoughts
I've had negative thoughts all my life, and although I've had some success trying to banish them, this audiobook spoke to me. Before listening, I had not heard of BDD, and the author opened my eyes to the subject. It was the first time I could put a name on these feelings that I had bottled up. I'm happy I came across the opportunity to review this book. I was skeptical at first, but the more I listened, the calming tone of the narration and the sensible approach of the author changed my mind. If you struggle with any negative thoughts, give this book a listen. I highly recommend it.

Conquering Body Dysmorphia Beyond the Surface
This is an excellent resource to for people of different backgrounds to discover the root causes of body dysmorphia disorder as well as the accompanying symptoms that may be prevalent beneath the surface. Along with this disorder underlies a host of many other disorders that may be correlating with the triggers that come with an unhealthy displeasure with one’s own body image. The audiobook does a good job asking very poignant questions for individuals to examine the underlying issues of their disorder or underlying discomfort with themselves. Throughout the book are messages of positivity and exercises and activities to help individuals overcome their issues and boost their self-esteem. Very well written and very relatable.
