Katie bravely escapes, with her son, from her abusive husband. But of course he will be hunting her. How will she ever really be free again? This is a heart wrenching/heartwarming story, set in the Colorado Mountains. She's back on her family ranch with her beloved horses and friends.

I deducted one star because there are a few unbelievable actions or events. I call them the author's perogative. But I still loved the story.

I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. Ryan Hicks presents this story with all the feels it requires. He has a great listening voice. A 5 star rating for him.

Tears of a Cowgirl: Running from the Devil by Jupiter Rose is an excellent second chance romance. Ryan Hicks did an amazing job with the narration. The story is interesting, thrilling, entertaining, romantic, heartbreaking, and heartfelt. Katherine thought she was deeply in love with her husband but then he changed into someone she didn’t know. She runs from him with her son. They end up on a mountain with a stranger. Can they survive? Will they get away from her husband? Will she find love again? Listen to find out.

This is such a good story with suspense and thrills. The story is emotional and keeps the reader engaged with all the twists. The narration was nicely down; really bringing the story and characters to life. This is an action pact story where everything is not always as it seems and those you thought you could trust may not be trust worthy. WOW!
