About this listen

From the bestselling author of What Have You Done comes a real whodunit about the bloody crimes that keep families together and tear them apart.

Eighteen-year-old Jenny Moore is looking forward to a fresh start at college. There’s just one problem: the people in her life won’t let her go.

When Jenny is viciously stabbed and left for dead, it’s her mother who finds Jenny’s body underneath the pines outside their home in the upscale town of Lewisboro, New York. State police investigator Susan Adler and her consultant partner Liam Dwyer are called to investigate the crime scene, but they sense something’s off right away.

The clues contradict the story Jenny’s parents keep telling, which makes the entire family suspects in Jenny’s murder. But who did it? Was it the wealthy father? The disappointed mother? The strange, quiet little brother? The jealous best friend? An ex-lover?

So many suspects. Too many secrets. One town with a history of hiding the truth.

But this is only the beginning of Susan and Liam’s investigation...because the killer is just getting started.

Has everything a good book should have.

Never disappointing all of Matthew & Cynthia Farrell books rock right up until the very end. Just when you think they got the bad guy they have one more twist.

Great Mystery

I’ve been enjoyed this book tremendously, reading & listening to it all in one sitting. Mike Farrell takes us down many roads of this maze....only to see it is not the right turn. Finally we come to the path that carries us through to the end! Great Mystery with excellent Narration. I look forward to more of the series.

reader

I do not like this reader she sounds like a man and everything she says it's hard to keep up with who is who when you don't even know the difference in the voice

Will keep you on your toes

This book is definitely one that you wouldn’t want to stop until you’ve reached the end. It kept me guessing throughout the book. The narration could’ve been better. There wasn’t much differentiation between the voices so it was a little confusing at times. Overall, I loved the book.

Good storyline, good characters and development.

Narrator left a lot to.be desired. Character voices were stale and lacked separation. story was unique and entertaining though somewhat predictable.

Wouldn’t change a thing

Unlike many mystery books. I did not guess who villain was. Many twists and turns that kept me interested. Love the Adler Dwyer books!

LOVE this series!

I can't get enough of this series and always grab the newest one as soon as I find out about it. the plots are unusual and always have something to do with memory and the mind... so interesting. this book is great as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading all of Matthew Farrell's books in order so you get the backstory... I'm very invested in all the characters. I also quite enjoy the narration!
