About this listen

What if Dreamtime is real?

In Boulder, Colorado, former foster-kid Kairi Johnson's dream is to start a family of her own but, instead, she ends up trapped 20 years in her past. She discovers she can time travel but it's not as simple as it first appears.

Each successive time trip results in more and more people getting hurt: she loses her fiancé and her best friend and discovers she's the reason for her parents' deaths. All seems lost until she meets a fascinating stranger, Kyle. Perhaps, he's not a stranger at all?

In Sydney, Australia, 25-year-old Kyle Barada is heir to his clan's Time Travel business. When his dad dies under suspicious circumstances, Kyle vows to find out what happened to him.

He discovers a mysterious relative has been working against him, secretly foiling him at every turn. All seems lost until he tracks down missing clan member, Kairi.

Can Kairi and Kyle time travel together and save everyone they love?

A good time travel story

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I thought this was an imaginative and entertaining time travel story. I thought the characters and story were well developed. The narrations was also done well and kept my interest throughout.

Great Book.. Love time travel stories

This was a great listen, Kathryn's performance and narration was also very good.

I did have a little trouble in the story and there were 2 or 3 of the same person running into each other. But other than that, it was a very good listen.

Don't mess with time!

I found this book to be an extremely interesting time travel story and thoroughly enjoyed the listen!

I did have a few gripes: many of the conversations felt pretty artificial/forced with people seemingly flipping from "I don't believe you!" to "Yeah, totally, I believe you!" extremely quickly and some conversations that you really have to suspend disbelief (e.g. a few of the relationships felt pretty thin compared to the actions based on said relationships or feelings). There were also a few occasions where I felt there was significant description missing (i.e. numerous things just go from none to done when it felt like there should have been some description of the process). Maybe personal taste here, but the plus side is that the pacing was kept up.

With that said, the story was extremely interesting and it was more than enough to help me look past my gripes and enjoy the superb narration by Kathryn Supina. I think what most entertained me is the clear message that messing with time can cause unintended consequences. Add in a bit of silliness and this book won me over.

I would totally be up for hearing more in this world and more dream induced time travel mischief written by Lesley Smith and would not hesitate to pick up another book narrated by Kathryn Supina. I am adding both to my watch list!

Great story but looong

This is an excellent time travel story. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I finished it in one day....being that its over 11 hrs long that should tell you how good it is! My only complaint is that it is so long. Although none of it was boring, I thought a few of the timelines could've been cut without detracting from the story. Still, I loved it and it's definitely worth a listen! The narration is excellent. I look forward to more from both the author and narrator. What a fun book!

Temporal Dreams Temporal Dreams is a bit on the silly side at times but if I’m being totally honest I couldn’t put it down. I love a good time travel fantasy book and this one’s got it all; murder and mayhem, travelers messing up the future by tinkering with the past, a love triangle, and world travel. The characters are endearing and the narrator does a bang up job of bringing them to life! This is a fun easy read and I’m hoping that the author considers putting out a follow up book or perhaps writing some sort of time travel series of novels. Thank you to the author, the narrator, and audiobookboom for a complimentary copy of Temporal Dreams. This review is unbiased and unsolicited.

I Did What?

AMAZING! Temporal Dreams captures the imagination almost immediately and keeps you hooked throughout. Based on the idea that Australian Aboriginals are connected to the land and all its mystic qualities, a family of their descendants has the ability to Time Travel. In fact, they used this ability to develop a lucrative family business. As is common knowledge in the sci fi canon, one must be very careful not to cause changes to the timeline. Do not create a paradox. This book follows two characters through their story, through time. Lesley Smith must have had one heck of a note taking system to keep all the details in order. The infinite possibilities could become extremely problematic without some sort of tools to keep the info straight.... for the author and the characters. If you enjoy a jaunt through time, Temporal Dreams is an excellent choice. There are a few subtle allusions to Back to the Future, see if you can find them - just a bit of extra fun.

Kathryn Supina does a great job at narration. Not sure what her home base is, but she does both American and Australian accents exceptionally. I was given this Audiobook, at My request, in exchange for an honest review.

Wow... In My Dreams

This story captured my attention and held it till the end. It was very interesting watching two different characters following two different lives in two different parts of the world that were both making the same discoveries and having similar problems. Of course they would come together and help each other but that is where the story is coming to a close. This story is about the discovery and problems that we all grow up with... with just a bit of a twist. This one is well worth the credit and I can’t wait for more.

Kathryn Supina did an excellent job narrating this story. It was easy to know who was who and the accents were excellent.
