GOOD READING AND LISTENING RELIABILITY is a constant with Anna Lowe's books. The stories inspire empathy and make the characters into our friends. The best part is that mates find a way through adversity to their happy ever after. This start to the series has left me happily content and looking forward to the rest of the series. RECOMMENDED ROMANCE ADVENTURE.
You will love the narration, two words in I was sold, that sheriff is something else. Robynne's voice matched her exactly.

I'm not into historical time periods these days, so it took me a bit to get into it. Totally a me thing as the story was well-written and well-performed! After about a 30 or so minutes, I was completely hooked and had to finish it one sitting. I absolutely loved the dual narration! I think this is the second audiobook I've had that and I'm in love with it.

Robynne and Daniel are getting a second chance. I loved how she didn't turn into a sappy, helpless woman. She stayed a strong leader. Daniel was strong and competent! He didn't try to dim her strength which made him easy to like. They were an easy couple to root for. I loved the Merry Men as well and am looking forward to their stories.

What a great spin on a classic story. Robynne Hood and Daniel Sheriff of Nottingham are lovers that have been separated by the Crusades. The story that is told will keep you spellbound. It has everything a book needs - action, intrigue, honor, dignity and steamy action. I was gift this book as an arc. This is my honest review. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next two in the series.

Very exciting to get a new series from Anna. We go way back in time to the time of the Crusades and the story of Robin Hood and his merry men. But there are some differences to the tale. Just a couple of small things. Robert Hood is the 'take from the rich' part of the equation. His sister, Robynne, is the 'give to the poor' part. She is also the one who is a dead shot with a bow and arrow. So basically, Robert gets himself into trouble and Robynne gets him out. Then, their is the new Sheriff of Nottingham, Daniel, who is Robynne's childhood playmate, and also her mate. Oh yeah, Robynne is a fox shifter, Daniel is a dragon, and the rest of of the Merry Men are also shifters. See? Just a few differences.

Daniel has recently returned from the Crusades and has been given the temporary post of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Most of the locals seem to have a hate-on for him. Apparently, the former Sheriff, now deceased, had quite a bad reputation. He can't believe it when he finds out that his mate is considered an outlaw and is living in Sherwood Forest with her brother and a gang of robbers.

I won't spoil the story for you. Suffice it to say that the local Sheriff and the local bandit aren't going to be announcing their nuptials any time soon. Daniel is going to do his best to change the opinion of the locals about the current Sheriff while trying to keep Robynne out of trouble. Robynne is going to attempt to keep her brother out of the dungeon, or worse, while helping the locals. The two lovers are going to steal all the moments they can to be together without being caught at it. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Ms. Lowe has done it again and wrote a great story with this first book in the Sherwood Forrest Shifters series. This is a modern-day version of Robin Hood where Robynne Hood is a woman. The book had humor as well as romance. Robynne is a fox shifter and a master archer. Daniel is a dragon shifter. They have been apart for many years and now Daniel is the acting sheriff of Nottingham. Daniel's predecessor was a horrible and cruel man. Robynne and Daniel were mates/lovers on opposite sides of the law. It was great that he was alive after being away for so long. Robynne's brother, Robert Hood, along with his merry men, was so funny at times and a little dense. He was able to take from the wealthy (especially women) so easily. Robynne and Daniel meet and although there are still feelings, can she trust him. I love when Ms. Lowe mentioned in the book "a better life for lesser off souls." It kind of makes you see Robert Hood's point of view. Kelsey Osborne and Chris Merlin did a great job with the narration. Chris is a very nice addition to the team. I received this free copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review.

What a fun read! This series is a take on the tales of Robin Hood, but with a pnr twist! The merry men are a bunch of various shifters who prefer to live away from humans in Sherwood Forrest. I love that the author made the hero Robin into Robynne, a girl, and she is a skilled archer who leads the merry men on their quest to help the poor. Robynne, a fox shifter, is quite the firecracker! She’s highly protective, smart, and very determined to rail against the expectations of women in this era. I loved her!

Daniel, the temporary sheriff of Nottingham, grew up with Robynne and they are mates. Unfortunately that comes with a daunting set of caveats being a sheriff and outlaw! They are totally into each other and know they have to find a solution that allows them to be together. I look forward to seeing how they do that.

So far, a good start to the series and I see lots of possibilities.

I have been a long time fan of Anna Lowe. I have not only listened to but also read the book, twice!
I loved how she turned the classic tale of Robin hood around and made the heroine a female, and that well I will let the story itself tell you what happened with the sheriff as i don't want to spoil the tale.

Robynne is a fox shifter, made an outlaw, due to the fact she disagreed with a decision that was made for her. Trained with the bow from her youth she is a master archer and uses those skills to try to keep her brothers and their band of friends out of trouble while helping the villagers who are under the oppressions of evil men in power.

Daniel is the new, temporary, sheriff in town, and he sees the way that his predecessor had preyed on the townsfolk and surrounding villagers and wants to try to right the wrongs but finds it hard to do when he faces corruption within his own troops.

The two were fated mated before the crusades, Robynne had heard he had died. Daniel had heard the same of her. Will they be able to come together even though they are on opposing sides of the law? Or will the rumors be too much for her to ever trust him again? You will have to listen to the book to find out.

If you like Robin Hood tales don't let his one pass you by, you will regret it.

This is the story of Robin Hood, but not the story we all know and love. Robin is a woman, and not only that she’s a fox shifter. The sheriff of Nottingham is her fated mate and a dragon shifter. Are you intrigued good because you’re going to love this story.

Robin was forced to leave her home, and with nowhere else to go she joined her younger brother Robert in Sherwood Forest. Robert and his band of Merry Men were eking out an existence, living off the land and for the most part behaving themselves. That is until the day they decided to rob a stagecoach. They did this without Robbin’s knowledge or approval.

When this robbery took place, the new Acting Sheriff of Nottingham came riding across the ridge. Will he stop them or when he realises that his fated mate is close by and that Robert her brother is leading the robbers will he let them go?

Daniel, the new Acting sheriff lets them go and later meets with Robin, where he tells her he has only been sheriff for one day and has no intention of carrying on the cruel acts perpetrated by his predecessor. Can she trust him?

I’m not going to say anymore because it would ruin the story what I will say is that the story is one that is original, well written, and you will adore the characters. Not to mention the palpable steaming chemistry between the fox and the dragon.

I look forward to listening to the next book in this series avidly!
