Publisher's summary

Take an exit off the Jersey Turnpike to the irresistible world of Stephanie Plum, America's favorite bounty hunter, where she gets into more trouble than ever. This time, she faces a notorious gang in Trenton who wants her dead. Morelli warns that she's in too deep, and Stephanie more than agrees. But the gang won't let her bow out. With Ranger missing in action, Stephanie has to go into hiding, and stumbles onto the secret location of Ranger's "bat cave". Is it the perfect place to disappear? Or will she get into more trouble than she knows by delving into his private world? The tenth Stephanie Plum novel is filled with Evanovich's trademark high stakes, high adventure, high wit, and sly comedy.

Critic reviews

"Evanovich is at her best in her 10th Stephanie Plum adventure, which reads like the screenplay for a 1930s screwball comedy: fast, funny, and furious....The rollicking plot, replete with car chases, family squabbles, massive doughnut consumption and a frantic, wacky finale, keeps the reader breathless. As usual, Evanovich's eccentric characters...are a treat." (Publishers Weekly)

Not crazy about narrator<br />

Stephanie sounds too old, Lula just doesn't come across believable and Ranger sounds like Ricky Ricardo!. I've read most of the Stephanie Plum series, and read out loud to my daughter & husband. Sadly this audible version didn't satisfy as hoped.

Another fun time with Stephanie Plum

Loved it as I do with all her books. Any time I get in the car that's the 1st thing I do is turn on one of her books.

These books ate usually 7-12 hours, so where did the other 10 hours go? short and stupid.

bored

I really loved this series when I started and was read by Critt. Then the narrator changed to Mazar and it was horrible but I stuck with it to the next narrator in Hope's of a better performance. King was definitely an improvement from Mazer but still not great. The story's are becoming predictable and anticlimactic. I am quickly becoming bored and not really sure that I want to continue spend money y on them. I am going to give this series one more try.
