Amazon Best-Seller! Reached number one in romantic comedy and top 100 in all books.

Synopsis: Sent to live with her cousin Elsie in the Yorkshire countryside, Rose has only one thing on her mind; joining her friends as a club rep in Mexico.

When she hears about a council incentive offering the promise of free flights to the person who clocks the most volunteering hours at the local care home, she’s got her plan set.

But she doesn’t plan on bonding with the old ladies, going after the village bad boy and trying to persuade Elsie not to become a Nun.

Soon, she’s questioning who her real friends are and whether her old life is one she wants to return to.

Can the village win her over and will she win the chance to leave it behind?

Will she even want to?

Love love love

I loved this story so much! This book gave me all the feels! Rose runs through every nonsense scenario you can think of in a small village in Yorkshire! Finding a losing love all while finding herself. There was a moment i actually cried! The ending is magnificent and I wouldn’t change a thing. I hope there are more stories like this one in the future!

Fast paced and entertaining

Having read or listened to several books by Laura Barnard I was interested to listen to Tequila & Tea Bags narrated by Deborah Balm who is a new narrator to me.

I was drawn in by the blurb of this book and was excited to dive in. Deborah Balm dod a good job with the narration and I found her voice pleasant to listen to.

The characters were intriguing, although at times I was extremely frustrated by Rosie. She was self centred and annoyed me on numerous occasions. Although having said that her friendship with Elsie had me laughing a bit; I really liked Elsie.

Tequila & Tea Bags was a fast paced book that kept me entertained and was well written and performed.

Funny rom com romance

Hilarious audible that had me laughing at Rose throughout the story. Rose is a 23 yr old that acts like a teenager. Partying and in bed with strangers until her parents send her to her aunts to live in a small town. Roses goal is to go to Mexico to party with her friends but meeting Will does it all change? Does Rose actually have a heart? Great narrator and funny story filled with love and lots of drama! 4/5 stars

loved it

Such a great read! I absolutely loved it! I laughed (out loud) and cried and just loved the messes Rose finds herself in. Supporting characters are just as much fun. I loved the narration, I could listen to her all day, the story line flowed smoothly, plenty of twists along the way to keep you wanting more!

this book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Hilarious story of my favorite hot mess

OMG this book was hilarious. I absolutely loved Rose (don't you dare call her anything else). She was flawed. She jumped to conclusions. She made a mess of things. She was someone I could totally relate to. She wasn't the disaster of a person everyone thought she was. Okay, yes she was. But she was working on it. She is sent to live with her cousin who is the total opposite. Rose wants to party. Her cousin Ellie wants to be a nun. Rose makes it her mission to convince her there is so much more to life. She gets a job in a pub and volunteers at a care home for the elderly in hopes of winning the contest that will allow her to go to Mexico and party with her best friend. Well life doesn't go as Rose plans. Soon she finds herself sleeping with a bad boy, falling for his up tight brother, badly trying to solve town mysteries and not actually wanting to leave the small town. This was such a fun book. The narrator did a great job. I found myself laughing out loud so many times. Like Rose I thought I had it all figured out. But I was so wrong. Go experience this hilarious read now.

I now officially hate the name Lulu!

Where do I start with this listen...

First off, loved the narration, loved the writing. I could do without Rose, the main character. She. Was. Awful.

The ick factor with Rose was pretty high. That's a huge kudo to the writing and the narration though. The story was so completely believable that I immersed myself in it. I had to walk away from it from time to time because, Rose.

When a story opens with a blackout drunk and you slowly, along with Rose, remember the night, well, you know things will not be all poptarts and rainbows. And "lulu", what the actual!

This wonderful story is full of mean girls, and slags, and remorseful old women. In short, it was insanely good. Just try and ignore "lulu." I dare you!

sad and humorous

I want to say Rose is a hot mess. but I couldn't give her that much credit. She's an immature clusterfluff who's a professional LIAR and trollop. She has to lose EVERYTHING before she wakes up and changes. It was hard to like Rose (and I didn't) because of all her selfish actions, but I did appreciate her growth before the grave.
It was a bit disgusting that she liked Will and still slept with his brother. Yuck! I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.
