About this listen

A dilapidated estate, a cute water mage, a witty kitsune, and a treasure worth risking your life for. Julian never thought that graduating from the Ironfist Academy would be the easy part. Returning to his ancestral manor, he’s greeted by crumbling walls, growing debts, and a father who’s conveniently disappeared. To top it off, someone is intent on making his new role as lord as difficult as possible. Armed with magic and a lot of nerve, Julian must juggle the ancient art of estate management. Luckily, he's not alone. An old sweetheart, who happens to be a bashful water mage with immense power, is joined by a kitsune archer with a sharp tongue that's only matched by her deadly aim. With both ladies by his side, there are whispers of a new Arcane Lord. To save the estate financial issues, they hunt for a treasure that everyone seems to want, but no one can find. As they unravel the mysteries piling up faster than his father’s unpaid bills, Julian learns that being a lord might just be the ultimate adventure, especially when your allies are as magical and wondrous as your enemies are menacing.

His land is in ruin, and his father and mother are both missing. What’s a young lord to do? Go looking for them, and try to salvage his house, of course!

I enjoyed this story and look forward to the next installment! Very glad he got his mom back!

Very fun story

Family can be great joy or great sorrow, when another is jealous of something or someone he doesn't have. They may try to ruin you in revenge, be stronger and gather more friends to stand strong.

Not much was to terrible in my opinion easy to understand and listen to maybe to much sex scene carried on long

Plot was figured out right away but even having it figured out was still a good listen

Decent book held back by awkward pacing. It feels like a weird mixture of break neck pace to stop the apocalypse followed up by the characters feeling like they can just kick back and relax. It gave a weird feeling when the romance would usurp the pace and how all characters can put all worries and death aside.
All in all, it's not bad, a decent read for anyone looking for a fantasy story.

Good, but Strange Pacing
