About this listen

Big houses, peaceful streets, packed refrigerators and beautiful women. Did I mention magic, too?

After years of clearing out the initial floors of dungeons so that famous teams could take the real prizes, I was around about ready to call it quits. But after getting myself dragged into the final floors of a legendary dungeon by a team of equally-legendary morons, I found myself as the only survivor – and the only one to claim the legendary prize on the dungeon’s final floor.

Now I’ve got enough gold to put my feet up forever, and where else better to move than a luxurious magical suburb? I can relax, enjoy life and maybe even settle down with a few beautiful women.

But being an overpowered warlock in a magical town comes with all kinds of hiccups; I need to keep my angsty demonic familiars in line, deal with the wood-nymph who’s squatting in my backyard, and keep a handle on the sheer number of quirky neighbors who seem to be intent on interrupting my peace and quiet.

And to top it all off, there's the beautiful blonde mage living across the street and the stunning brunette living next door.

I love this book genre ❣️

There's just something about fantasy in an urban, or should I say, "suburban" local that I thoroughly enjoy.
These characters are amazing and a lot of fun.
The MC is not a whiner, complaining about all the horrible things they had to go through to become super powerful.
Love it❣️ And I sure hope there's a book 2.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Excellent

This book has a great mix of everything that makes an audio book fantastic. The plot was great without cheap writing techniques. No characters was too evil or too moralistic. No stupid “ let’s hide behind the chain saws”. To point the story in a certain direction. The MC wa OP and likable without a 45 minute boss fight that the mc just one hits the boss with a spell he forgot he had in the end.
Everyone likes spice and this author has mastered the art of desire and kink. After a zesty session ( not an entire chapter) the mc does not come across as a crazed alpha dominate and the insanely beautiful women are still elegant , graceful, exotic and desirable.
Audio listeners are blessed with excellent narration. The voice actors for this book made it a true joy to listen.

A really good slice of life fantasy

I live a good retired adventurer story and this one doesn't disappoint. The girls are interesting and the suburban life style is great. The mystery makes you want to know more.

Had potential...

first off the narrators especially Lewis are absolutely terrible.
second, feels like it was written by a teenager. from known information being repeated to the spicy scenes being super vanilla with very little description. the relationship(s) are rushed and superficial. the whole book is a dumpster fire.
to any authors who read this including this one, do better and put more imagination and thought into your stories. a little research goes a long way. oh, and stop letting Lewis & Rosalyn ruin your books!
