About this listen
We didn't know what to expect when we jumped through the Leap Point. We certainly didn't anticipate finding that humans had been out here before. We thought we were the first to leave our star system, but we we're wrong.
Maybe Hegemony was correct. Maybe we are just blundering our way from discovery to discovery, and it's only a matter of time before we encounter something in the vast darkness that takes a real bite out of us.
It would certainly help if the government had our back. If they weren't trying to seize our assets, arrest our executives and sic a murderous AI on us, we could probably put a solid foot forward into the galaxy, for all our sakes.

Story
The artifact we found on Vesta changed everything. Sure, we were able to patent the new technologies we managed to reverse engineer, and make a hefty sum. But we could never have anticipated where these discoveries would eventually lead. The board of directors still wants to see what we come back with, but those of us on the ship know that there's something far more significant than Hegemony credits out here. And we have to do it right by humanity.

Story
Success and failure, reason and passion, Blair and Roslyn. When these two roommates volunteer for a brain mapping experiment at Michigan University, all they’re looking for is one last shared experience to cap off their semester together. Despite Roslyn’s misgivings, Blair leaves her behind and enters the imaging chamber without a care in the world. Then fifty years pass in the blink of an eye. Blair wakes up alone in New York City, far removed from everyone she’s ever loved, including Roslyn. She’s been murdered, but a digital copy of her mind remains trapped inside a synthetic body.

Story
History isn’t always written to glorify the victors. Sometimes, it’s written to conceal the truth. In this novel’s depiction of alternate history military fiction, Sparta still exists today as a technologically advanced, secret civilization dedicated to protecting humankind. When smallpox is genetically engineered into a bioweapon, Alessa—a warrior in the Spartan military—is sent to collect evidence regarding its origin. After being violently attacked, she awakens with no memory to a world infected with the very virus she had been sent to prevent.

Story
My parents named me after an angel. That was a mistake. My words and actions remind them of this on a daily basis. My father disagrees. He is the Sentinel of Order, God’s unchecked hand on the world, but I’ll always be his little girl. Da may be biased, but he’s not deluded. The angel for whom I was named is beautiful, brave, and temperate. Da says two out of three isn’t bad. I cannot take credit for my beauty, and will not attribute bravery to things that simply must be done. As for temperance, I have none. I come to my lack of temperance honestly.

Story
Orodan was an orphaned street rat who clawed his way to the county militia with hard work. When calamitous events unfold and draw him into events bigger than himself, Orodan's battle-loving disposition leads to a warrior's death. Then he wakes up again at the start of the Cataclysm. Then again. And again. In a world of skills, titles, and blessings, a smart time-looper would perhaps scheme, plan, amass equipment, and allies. But not Orodan. If there's one thing he's good at, it's stubbornly trying the same thing over and over again via brute force till it's done.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
C.S. Garrand delivers another gripping installment in the *Humanity’s Leap* series with *The Architect*. This book kept me thoroughly entertained and on the edge of my seat, blending high-stakes adventure with thought-provoking sci-fi themes. The world-building is immersive, the tension is palpable, and the characters continue to evolve in fascinating ways. I can’t wait to continue this journey with *The Pilgrim and the Wolf – Book 3 of Humanity’s Leap*!
Overview

Narration
Patricia Santomasso does an **excellent** job bringing this thrilling sci-fi adventure to life. Her narration is crisp, engaging, and perfectly suited to the intensity of the story. Santomasso’s performance amplifies the suspense, making every twist and revelation feel even more immersive. Her ability to capture the characters’ emotions and the tension of the unfolding mystery adds another layer of depth to *The Architect*, making it an even more compelling listen.
This series is shaping up to be a must-read (or listen) for sci-fi fans who crave thrilling plots, deep world-building, and a touch of corporate intrigue. If you haven’t started *Humanity’s Leap* yet, now’s the time!
