Publisher's summary

The gorgeous CEO of Brewer Air is my boss and, thanks to a bet, my new husband for six months.

Why? Because I begged.

I have a grandmother to support, a stack of bills higher than my five-foot frame, and as a cherry on top, I need to find a new place to live. Soon.

Sure, Jason Brewer’s bright green eyes and chiseled jawline steal my breath. His smirk makes me weak. The former military hero’s protective nature is as sexy as watching him control a boardroom or fly a plane. But none of that matters. I’m desperate—not foolish. I know forever-level commitments aren’t real. This is simply a business transaction with a billionaire.

It’s too bad we didn’t consider all contingencies.

Our first kiss was to seal the deal. The second was in front of an Elvis impersonator. The third kiss led to a honeymoon that was so hot it burned into my memory.

I tell myself it’s okay because there’s an arrangement in place. It’s a—very—enjoyable means to a much-needed end. There’s nothing to worry about.

Except there is …

Jason is determined to prove that we could be more. When he proposes a new arrangement, it changes everything in ways I never saw coming.

From USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author Adriana Locke comes a new age-gap workplace romance featuring a former military hero who falls first and hard for his heroine. You will swoon over this spicy standalone romance.

A Swoon Worthy Arrangement! Great Story & Listen🎧

Adriana Locke pens another fabulous romance novel, putting her own unique spin on the age-gap workplace, fake relationship trope, and I loved everything about it. The characters are the stars of this book and Locke definitely creates some of the best, and they are always easy to relate to and connect with. This second book of the “Brewer Family” series is Jason Brewer and Chloe Goodman’s story. A bee stung a seven-year-old Chloe while playing ball with Tate and Tate’s older brother Jason came to her rescue, becoming her hero and when she developed a crush on him then. Years later, Jason, the CEO of Brewer Air, hired her as his executive assistant. Chloe is a riot, while Jason is more on the serious side, but they work well together and have an effortless rapport. Chloe takes care of her grandmother and, despite a well-paying job, she has troubles with finances and making ends meet. Jason’s brother break his chops about closing in on 40 years old with no prospects to settle down with, so they nudge him with a bet on whether he will get married and that marriage would last six months. Chloe’s hardships get worse and when she hears about the bet, she realizes this may be the answer to her financial woes and steps up to say that she and Jason are getting married. Chloe, who does not believe in forever love, is happy with the six-month time frame and she thought Jason felt the same about forever love and relationships, but does he really? I loved all the layers of this story and how it all played out with a perfect balance of drama, charming humor and witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next for the Brewer family

🎧📚🎧   And for the wonderful audiobook narration, Amy McFadden and Sebastian York did a fabulous job bringing these characters and story to life and their portrayal of each character was perfection, with McFadden shining in her role as Chloe and York as the swoon worthy Jason. Each grasping every aspect of their characters’ personality, McFadden handled Chloe’s wit like a natural, as well as all her other traits, and York did the same in Jason’s role. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of all the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates this already fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Chloe and Jason so good together!

Adriana Locke’s The Arrangement (Brewer Family Series, Book 2) is narrated by Amy McFadden(Chloe) and Sebastian York(Jason). These two do a great job in bringing Chloe and Jason to life. Amy McFadden does a great job with Chloe’s character. This is the first time I’ve listened to this narrator. Look forward to listening to her again in the future. Sebastian York is one of my all-time favorite male narrators. His voice is so smooth, rich, and down-right s*xy. I enjoyed the writing style of this author. Her characters are real and believable. Between-the-sheets scenes are well written as well and a bit spicy. Recommend it!

Sweet and swoony listen!

Another deliciously sweet and spicy treat from Adriana Locke! And one of my favorite tropes- marriage of convenience! The family dynamics, the endearing characters, the heartfelt moments, charming chemistry, and just all around feel good magic.

Jason has a lot on his shoulders with his business, and with his family. He's a broody, grumpy billionaire, but he lovingly takes care of those he cares about. Turns out that includes his infatuated assistant and friend Chloe, who has a secret crush on him and also needs his help...his FAKE MARRIAGE help. And Jason is surprisingly all in because he's also had feelings for her too- he just always thought he wasn't the right guy for her....she's bright and young and deserves more than him. But a little bit with his brothers and Chloe's family crisis is the perfect opportunity to pretend...and maybe convince her they are more.

I loved Jason- he's tough and alpha and a shrewd business man, but he's also generous and loving and super protective of those he cares about. He's dreamy in the best way- and the way he cares for Chloe is so sweet. And I loved how Chloe had him falling so hard, even though she never knew it. Chloe is so charming- sweet but funny. She's had real heavy responsibilities with her family, often struggling in silence. She has been hesitant to ask for help because she doesn't want to burden others, and I related SO much to that. Even her friends, like Jason, who could help her.

Their chemistry is really sweet but also spicy. As always, we have some great banter and heat. But I loved that these two start in a place of respectful friendship and admiration. The friends to lovers vibes blossomed so beautifully and the lines blur, and as Jason wants to prove this is REAL.

The audio was so well narrated. Sebastian York is an all time fav and brought all the great growly and sweet parts to Jason, and I really enjoyed Amy McFadden's bright and fun but also vulnerable depiction of Chloe. It's a fast and charming listen, and I'm loving the magic Brewer family world!

-billionaire romance
-family ensemble
-boss x employee
-age gap
-fake marriage
-grumpy sunshine/opposites attract

I'm still swooning over Jason Brewer!

5 Stars

Jason Brewer people! JASON FREAKING BREWER! Hot billionaire CEO of Brewer Aviation. Former military hero, hot, all ALPHA male, oh! And did I mention HOT? LOL! This man had me swooning ALL the swoons! Dang you Adriana Locke! Just when I didn’t think I could love anyone more than Moss or Renn, and you throw me Jason freaking Brewer! <sighs> Oh, well. I guess I can add him to my list and share LOL.

Anyways, Jason Brewer is the glue that holds the family together after the sh*tstorm of what their father has put them all through. He’s all work and no play, so of course his youngest brother, Tate, would make a childish bet that he won’t get married within the next three years and stay married for at least six months. When Jason’s EA, Chloe, hears about it, she’s determined to help them both out and win this ridiculous bet.

Chloe Goodman has been working for Brewer Aviation for the last three years, but the last seven months as Jason’s executive assistant. Jason takes care of his company and his family and friends, and Chloe takes care of him. But she’s also taking care of her ailing grandmother, Mimi, and is drowning in debt from her mother’s medical bills before she passed away. Oh my goodness! Everyone needs a Mimi in their life. She absolutely steals all the thunder in this story lol. Mimi + Tate + golfcart = I’ll let you read it and find out ;)

I always love a good office romance, boss/employee love story and Adriana Locke has outdone herself with this one. Plus throw in a marriage of convenience? Yep, totally down for it. Jason and Chloe’s banter is fun and flirty and will set your pages on fire. Once they say I do, it’s on! Jason is determined to show Chloe just how much he’s not pretending and to prove to her that their arrangement does not need an end date. I just can’t say enough about this book. I devoured it in a matter of hours. Jason and Chloe have such a vibe. It’s like they’ve been together forever. It’s the little things they do for each other. He brings her coffee every day. She scheduled him a massage because she noticed the aspirin on his desk all week and knew he had a headache all week. I cannot wait for the next Brewer story. I have no clue who it will be.

Sebastian York and Amy McFadden absolutely knocked this narration OUT OF THE PARK!! They just bring you into the story as if you're living it live and give voice to these characters that you just can't help fall in love with! Chef's kiss!!

Vegas Weddings and Brewer Men!

10/22-10/23/24

Listened to this on audio and it was so good! Have you ever read/listened to a book that just has you smiling basically the entire time? That is what Adriana’s books do for me. They are SUCH easy reads and fun stories! Clearly Vegas weddings are a theme with the Brewer men so far and I’m loving it.

I loved the relationship that Chloe and Jason already had as boss and executive assistant and even more grew their “arrangement.” I’m looking forward to the next Brewer story!

Jason is SWOONY!

This was so fun and sweet!

After the complete downfall of their father, this entire family is trying to find normalcy again, and seeing them thriving after that event warms my heart.

Jason and Chloe were so perfect together, and the way they both fell into their roles as husband and wife was so cute. I think my favorite thing about this story was Chloe. She has spent so much of her life sacrificing for her family and the moment Jason realizes the gravity of her situation and sacrifice, he devotes his life to her and making her feel all the love and appreciation she never realized she needed.

His love for her gives her permission to be vulnerable and to rely on another person while her love for him gave him purpose in his life he didn't realize was missing. I resonate with Chloe so much as a caregiver myself and pray I find a man one day who can be accepting and loving the way that Jason is. 🙏

Sebastian York is one of my all-time FAVORITE narrators and Amy McFadden is fairly new to me but she was a fantastic Chloe.

Jason is a serious book boyfriend... honestly, he's the perfect book HUSBAND! He makes me believe just the tiniest bit that maybe it's out there for me too 😍. But seriously, this was such a good read.

Loved Chloe and Jason!

The Arrangement by Adriana Locke was a sweet and sexy marriage of convenience/age gap romance that I devoured in one sitting. I couldn't get enough of Chloe and Jason's workplace romance and their hilarious, hot, and heartfelt journey to HEA.

Amy McFadden and Sebastian York performed this audiobook in dual narration. Amy captured Chloe's determined feisty personality perfectly as she went after what she truly desired. Sebastian's deep resonating tone encompassed Jason's loyal loving and charismatic demeanor. Both narrators created a longing and tension between Chloe and Jason was undeniable and meant to be!

Overall I enjoyed this book. If you are a fan of an age-gap romance with a hunky billionaire hero and a willing and alluring EA heroine with all the humorous family shenanigans, a Vegas wedding, all the steamy times, and a HEA that will simply make you smile, then you will love Chloe and Jason's romance! I always look forward to more from Adriana Locke.

loved Jason Brewer's book!

Thanks so much to Adriana Locke and Valentine PR for the audio copy of The Arrangement! I love listening to Adriana’s books- they’re always very familiar and comforting and The Arrangement was no different. The book was great and the narrators really brought Chloe and Jason to life!

The Arrangement series is focused on the Brewer family, this time on Jason Brewer and his executive assistant, Chloe. After a bet with his brothers to marry for 6 months, Jason is in a little bit of a pickle. Enter Chloe, his childhood friend who is barely living paycheck to paycheck and could use a little cash. Getting married to her childhood (and current) crush and getting out of debt along the way sounds like the dream plan for her, but unknown to either party, mutual pining may make this marriage not so fake. I’m a sucker for a good marriage-of-convenience and getting married in Vegas trope so I was just along for the ride! This book was cute, funny, and a fun time for sure! I can’t wait for the next book in the series and I hope you all love it as much as I did!

He Falls first, yes please!

I absolutely love a story line where he falls first. Jason Brewer does not disappoint with this trope either. He is so far gone before there was even a romance being written for him and Chloe. Seeing him step in and be there for her in ways she doesn't even fully see. I love how the story develops to give them a chance to see something beyond the walls they built around themselves. As usual with an Adriana Locke book the Brewer family is large and loud when it comes to finding love. If it is worth doing, it is worth doing big right? I am so excited to see what is next for the Brewer family.
