About this listen

A protective hero and his best friend’s fearless sister risk everything as desire and danger collide in this heart-pounding romantic mystery from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brittney Sahin.

Hudson Ashford, a former Navy SEAL turned private security expert, has sworn off romance—especially when it comes to his best friend’s sister. Between protecting clients, running his bar, and avoiding the political spotlight as the son of a prominent governor, Hudson keeps his life tightly controlled, leaving no room for complications—or emotions.

Isabella Costa, a headstrong billionaire with a compassionate heart, refuses to give up on the future she dreamed of with the man she thought she could never have. But when a dangerous threat from their past resurfaces, chaos erupts. What begins as a routine undercover operation quickly spirals into murder, trapping them in a nightmare from which there’s no escape. Forced into close quarters, Hudson and Isabella must confront not only their shared history but also their undeniable attraction.

As enemies close in and deadly consequences loom, can they outrun the secrets of their past? Or will the truth they uncover tear them apart forever? Duet narration by Connor Crais and Ava Lucas. Special guest cameo by Joseph Cannata.

The Art Of You

I loved all the twist and turns this book took. It kept me guessing, and glued to the edge of my seat. All 3 narrator performances were top notch. seriously, at no point did I feel like it was just someone reading a book to me. These 3 preformed the book, and it was amazing- truly a piece of art in itself. Audible, where have you ben hidding Joseph Cannata? We need to hear more from him. Ava Lucas and Connor Crais never disappoint, and couple them with a book like this is nothing short of magic!

Another winner with duet narration

Tropes: friends to lovers, brothers best friend, coworkers, romantic suspense

Loved Hudson and Bella. Lots of chemistry and banter between them. Exciting fast-paced story with lots of twists and turns this author is known for. Medium spice level.

Book 3 in the series and probably best not as a standalone. Lots of fun crossovers from other series as well.

The duet narration is amazing and really brings story to life. Highly recommend.

Prepare to laugh and maybe cry!

Always on point with a bad as ever female character, Izzy pulls you close and grabs your heart right from the start. Her snark and attitude sink in and make you smile. Hudson is dreamy from the glimpses in other books, but he’s downright fire you want to burn with in the most delicious way possible. Finally getting closure and finding their way through a landfill full of “what ifs”, it’s poetic and hot all rolled into one spectacular book!

The Art of U it

Welcome back to the Costa family! This was an ARC book and audible. Connor Crais was amazing, and I really enjoyed Joseph Cannata's parts as well. All of Brittney's books are so well written, and her characters are always so well developed. The plots are always great, and keep you pulled in. I always love the way Britteny brings back old friends, and we get caught up on what's going on in their lives. I felt like you could feel the connection between Bella and Hudson, maybe because they had a real past friendship that helped make their romance so much deeper. My heart does ache every time they mention Bella's sister. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no drama between Hudson and the brothgers. They knew he was a great man who would treat her well. Another really good Brittney book.

Great!!!

I loved this book. if you are familiar with Brittney book. we have been waiting for these two to get together. They ways she got them together and around the big brother who is the best friend was great. Brittney did an amazing job and pulling everything together giving you all of the twist and turns. keeping you on the Rollercoaster. Izzy was able to help Hudson get over his past and in doing so helped them heal witch helped big brother realize they where right for each other. Connor and Ava did a great job as well. I love finding Joseph Cannata voice in here as well. it made me happy.

Absolutely a must-read/listen!

The duet narration with a guest is done perfectly in this book. Connor Crais and Ava Lucas bring these amazing characters to life and keep you captivated until the end credits. Wow! Joseph Cannata is a welcome fun surprise, too. Fantastic!

The fantastic story is full of suspense and engaging characters that keep you wanting to read just one more chapter. Brittney Sahin's character inner monologues for each lead character are relatable and her dialogues between characters are conversational. Honestly, the text messages between siblings are perfect. Not that I could relate to the characters' personal situations, but I understood their reactions to them. The Art of You is a story that has realistic reactions and I love it.

As the suspenseful story evolves, I found myself completely consumed and invested in the characters. The twists and turns of the plot keep you wanting another, and another, and another chapter until the HEA ending leaves you completely satisfied.

It's not necessary to have read other books by the author, but if you have, it will add even more to the story. Beloved characters, quips, and references from her other books share in the storyline. If you haven't read all of her books, why? You will love them all!

I can't recommend this book more. I/You'll love the characters. You'll wish they weren't fictional and want to be their friends. The only downside is finishing the story, but then it’s time for a re-read.

Amazing narration.

Hudson is Constantine Costa’s best friend and has known the family since their school days. He has watched Bella grow up, but when she returned for a birthday party seven years ago, his feelings for her changed. She stirred emotions he had convinced himself he could not allow himself to feel for his best friend's little sister. Bella feels the same way about Hudson, but she doubted he would ever reciprocate her feelings.

Hudson also grapples with guilt over a mission that went horribly wrong in Afghanistan years ago. He was supposed to be with his team, but when he received an email informing him that his mother was dying of cancer, as a result, his focus was diverted, and his team was ambushed.

While on an operation in Rome, a single kiss while they were undercover ignited their feelings for each other, but Hudson refuses to betray his best friend by admitting his feelings for Bella.

During another operation, both realize they are in grave danger, and they uncover that there is much more to this mission than they initially thought. The past will draw them closer together until they can no longer ignore their feelings.

Listening to the story unfold will be like watching the events play out before your eyes.
