About this listen

Henley Holloway is my boss’s daughter, and I’ve been assigned to mentor her. The problem is, I’m not looking to babysit anyone. But I’m determined to make partner at the firm, and this is the final obstacle in my way. So, I agree to take the little princess under my wing. I’ll work her so hard, she’ll beg me to leave her alone. But from the first day she walks into the office and spills scalding hot coffee on my chest—I’m intrigued.

She’s a Harvard grad. Her work ethic rivals mine. She’s witty and funny and beautiful all at the same time. I don’t want to like her. I have a hard and fast rule about relationships, and I will not break it with my boss’s daughter. That’s a hard no. But she’s everywhere I turn, and I can’t seem to get enough. Weren’t rules meant to be broken anyway?

From the moment we cross the line—I’m done for. Henley Holloway has seeped her way into my heart, one that I didn’t even know still worked. But sometimes loving someone isn’t enough. I’m living proof of that.

**This is book 1 in the Rosewood River Series. Each one can be listened to as a complete standalone. A HEA is guaranteed!**

Loved it

I was excited when I heard Laura Pavlov had a new series, Rosewood River releasing and that some familiar characters might pop up.

If Steal My Heart is anything to go by then she has a winning series on her hands.

This is Henley Holloway and Easton Chadwick work place romance and it was a well written, entertaining and emotional read.

Loving romance stories set in small towns the added bonus of some familiar characters added to my enjoyment of this book.

The last thing Easton wants is to mentor the owner of his companies daughter. However from the moment they met, the sparks flew.

I loved their journey. Easton’s painful past is palpable as you read and the narration by Andi Arndt and Connor Crais was spot on in my opinion. They did a wonderful job with their narration. Bringing both the characters and story to life for me. Not only are their voices easy to listen to but they brought the emotional pain, drama, passion, humour and romance to their performances.

Small town, workplace romance

Laura Pavlov is the queen of small-town romances! I love how Laura is able to create a cast of characters I immediately connect with! The group of Chadwick brothers were so lovable and I am already excited about the potential tropes I could see happening with this bunch. The undeniable chemistry between Easton and Henley builds into a strong relationship that is healing for both of them. While this wasn't my favorite from Laura I can see so much potential for the characters in this town and cannot wait for the next one. The little bit that was hinted at the end of this one left me so excited! I had a bit of a difficult time connecting to Easton and Henley but I loved the chemistry they felt towards one another. Their passion grows so much from the start of their working relationship to the end of the book.
The audiobook was very well done and I always love the narrators Laura chooses for her characters.

Another small town gem

Laura Pavlov is the queen of small town romance and introducing us to Rosewood River only confirms that. With the Chadwick family being well know in town who better than Easton Chadwick to show the new girl Henley around, they will be co-workers after all. Unfortunately for Henley, Easton’s grumpy back and forth attitude only makes things harder and working together becomes tense. It isn’t till Easton’s family invites Henley over for Sunday dinner that she starts to realize Easton’s attitude might stem from places deeper than just her showing up. I once again love another Laura Pavlov book, all the small town vibes, the way the family comes together, their banter, the different personalities, the deep conversations that only have you relating to these characters even more as well as the spice that keep tensions high. Andi Arndt and Connor Crais narrate in duet doing a beautiful job bringing Easton and Henley to life. Both Andi and Connor truly thrive in small town, expressing the closeness they have with the community, the flirty banter and smiles behind their voices, the desires to settle down as well as the genuine connection Henley and Easton have, not only romantic, but as friends, and both narrators really brought those emotions out. I was thrilled to have some of our Magnolia Falls favorites back and can’t wait to continue in Rosewood River.

Great Start to the Series!

“You walked into my life and stole my f****** heart, Henley. I didn’t even know it still worked. But it’s yours.”

Easton Chadwick is known in the legal world as the “Shark”. He’s a tough and hard-working attorney. He has won pretty much every case he’s had. Now he’s tasked with mentoring his boss’s daughter, Henley Holloway. At first Easton was annoyed, he didn’t want to be babysitting his boss’s daughter. He believes she only got to where she is because of her last name. But when he sees her work ethic and that she can handle any task he throws at her, he realizes that he misjudged her.
Henley Holloway recently graduated from Harvard and is starting at her family’s law firm. Her first day didn’t go as smoothly as she hoped. First she set off the alarm then she split scalding hot coffee all over boss, Easton. She knew winning Easton over would be difficult since she knew what he thought about her, but that wouldn’t stop her from proving that she belonged there.
Working together all day, every day brings up feelings Easton does not want to feel. Henley may be beautiful, smart, and funny, but he doesn’t do relationships for a reason. Easton’s past still haunts him. He doesn’t want to lose someone he loves again. But Henley has already worked her way into his heart. Now Easton must decide if being with Henley is better than never being with her at all.

Steal My Heart is the first book in the Rosewood River series by Laura Pavlov. I loved Easton and Henley’s story. Their banter was so funny and the tension between them was electric. Not even five chapters in and Easton was already so gone for Henley. It was so funny to see how jealous he got when other guys would flirt with her. He didn’t even like his brothers and cousins flirting with her. They both had their struggles and Laura portrayed them really well. Henley was scared that people would leave her. Her parents pretty much left her alone growing up. Easton fears losing the people he loves. In his past, he lost someone that meant so much to him that it still haunts him. He was going to a therapist for some time but stopped. When he realized how much he liked Henley, it scared him. I’m glad he reached out to his therapist again to talk about things. I love that we got to see Emerson, Nash, and Beefcake again. Beefcake is the cutest kid ever. I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

The audiobook was so good! I love these narrators. They did a wonder job with the characters. The way they portrayed them and conveyed their emotions made it feel like I was right there with the characters. These narrators never disappoint!

Great story in duet narration

Perfectly cast narrators for this new series. This dealt with mental health/PTSD in a healthy mature way as well as a little bit grumpy/ sunshine trope. I really enjoy how Laura describes a new town, I felt like I was there, she creates this world in a way that doesn’t feel cumbersome. Enjoyable to read or listen to (or both!)

Loved this enemies to lovers romance!

Swoon! Steal My Heart by Laura Pavlov was a sweet and emotional small-town romance that wrapped my heart up in a warm blanket and kept me cozy all night long. I loved everything about Henley and Easton’s enemies to lovers/ workplace romance. Rosewood River is an intriguing town full of gossip, family devotion, and love, and I’m simply already obsessed.

Andi Arndt and Connor Crais perform this audiobook in duet-style narration. These two made me swoon so hard for this couple. From the witty banter to the sexual tension, then to the heartbreak and longing, Andi and Connor had me hanging on every word. Andi’s performance of Henley gave her an upbeat flair that showcased her ambitions for her job and her dedication to Easton. Connor’s deep, rumbly voice conveyed the perfect amount of guarded grumpiness Easton possessed, yet showcased a fragile vulnerability when opening up about his painful past.

Overall, I loved this book. If you are a fan of a small-town romance with a hot broody lawyer, a hardworking new hire, pickle ball, brotherly group chats, Sunday family dinners, workplace romance, swimming in your underwear, steamy overnight work trips, he falls first, sneaking around, doughnuts and chocolate milk, janitor closet spice, dangerous river rafting excursions, healing from the past, and a HEA that will steal your heart, then you will love Henley and Easton’s story. I always look forward to more from Laura Pavlov.

Small-Town Sparks and Swoony Protectiveness: Laura Pavlov Steals My Heart Again

Okay, let’s talk about personal quirks: when “princess” is used as a pet name, it’s almost always an instant DNF for me. But leave it to the Laura Pavlov to make me devour a book where the FMC is called “princess” almost exclusively—and love every second of it.

Steal My Heart kicks off Pavlov’s new Rosewood River series, but fans will recognize the town from her earlier works (Magnolia Falls, anyone?) and remember Easton Chadwick, twin brother of Emerson Chadwick, the pediatrician and stepmom of the infamous Beefcake. Now we meet Easton as a lawyer in Rosewood, tasked with mentoring his boss’s daughter, Henley Holloway.

Henley might be new to the firm, but with a perfect LSAT score and relentless determination, she’s nothing short of impressive. Their first interactions are rocky—Easton is guarded, and Henley has zero tolerance for his broody attitude. But as walls come down, sparks fly. Pavlov gives us Easton’s beautifully complex layers, revealing a traumatic past that makes his guarded nature feel authentic. And when his protective touch-her-and-die energy comes out? Chef’s kiss.

Henley is everything I want in a heroine: fierce, ambitious, and utterly capable. But what I really loved was her emotional vulnerability with Easton. It brings out this soft, tender side of him that’s just as swoon-worthy as his fiery protectiveness. Together, they have this playful, competitive banter that keeps their dynamic fun, while their deeper connection makes the romance so satisfying.

The spice level? A solid 3.5/5—just enough heat to keep things interesting without overshadowing the story’s emotional core. My overall rating? 4/5. This book is sexy, cozy, and quintessentially Pavlov, delivering all the feels I expect from her romances.

I can’t wait to meet more of the Rosewood crew and see where this series takes us. Laura Pavlov continues to prove she’s the queen of crafting heartwarming, steamy, small-town love stories that feel like a warm hug—and Steal My Heart is no exception.

Easton and Henley…

Steal My Heart is the first book in the Rosewood River series. It’s a small town, dislike to lovers, workplace romance.

Easton and Henley are both broken characters, who have amazing chemistry right from the start. This story is steamy, emotional, has witty banter, and healing. I was hooked from the first page. I love how hard Easton falls for Henley. This was a fantastic start to a new series. I am for sure hooked.

Andi Arndt and Connor Crais did an amazing job portraying these characters and bringing this story to life.
