Only a few good stories

It seems a common pattern that only a few good stories turn out every year. Six I liked in this thirty story compilation of fantasy and science fiction. These six good stories were 'Field Biology of the Wee Fairies' by Naomi Kritzer, 'Golgotha' by Dave Hutchinson, 'Mother Tongues' by S. Qiouyi Lu, 'Olivia's table' by Alyssa Wong, 'If at First You Don’t Succeed, Try, Try Again' by Zen Cho and 'Blessings' by Naomi Novik.

Too many dragons; not enough sci-fi.

I didn't enjoy this book and I was so looking forward to listening to it. It had a few bright spots like Okay, Glory and Mother Tongues, but not enough in a book this size. Disappointed...

S/F 13

A few good science fiction stories but unfortunately way too much LGBTQ emphasis , almost every major character.

used to love this series

I forget the name of the previous person who used to curate the stories in this series. The stories were almost always excellent, and introduced me to new authors. Not this one, these were awful, I gave up after the 7th story. Maybe next year.
