About this listen

I’m thinking it’s finally got to be my turn.

I've got no man and no money. Nothing but a personality and a smile.

But maybe that's enough this time.

The richest guy in New York is looking for a secretary, and lucky for me, he’s young and as hot as sin.

Too bad he’s an alpha asshole rich boy who’s stuck on himself. Nothing I do is right.

Throw in a crazy ex and a father that can’t stand anything that breathes in his personal space, and I. Am. Out.

He can find someone else to take notes and get his coffee.

I’m fine being broke and single. I’ve gotten good at it.

Besides, I’m not interested in a billionaire affair.

Or am I already in too deep to leave?

Sure as hell feels that way.

Good story

I really liked the story and the male voice. The female voice took some getting used to. I could listen to Gregory Salinas all day but sorry Lacy Laurel I won’t be looking for more book narrated by her. Her voice won’t stop me from listening but it will have to be a story I really want to listen to.

Definitely an affair to shout about

Overall I love this book, the audio performance conveyed the appropriate tone and switching narrators based on the chapter perspective worked for me. If one is reading the books (The Billionaire Offer, The Billionaire Arrangement, The Billionaire Affair) of the In Too deep series and the audio simultaneously there were a few deviations (less than 10) from the printed books, but they did not detract from the overall story and would not be noticed otherwise.

Story content review:
Stephanie, a bookstore clerk, is pushed by her best friend to apply for a position at Williams Inc. working as a secretary for Jeremiah, the once spare heir. As the story progresses masks begin to fall away, obsession comes calling and a battle is fought for their future. This book features an affair to shout about with a sassy female and a bad boy with a marshmallow center buried under a rock hard exterior. I was so drawn into their story and lives in the first few chapters.

I received a free audio copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

That a woman who is somewhat thicker is also attractive to men. 😍 That all women are sexy and desirable.

Must read, feel good book. Totally enjoyed it and will recommend it to my friends. Great story line.

business and pleasure

Jeremiah... wealthy, successful businessman who permanently lives in his dead brother’s shadow and uses women and alcohol to escape his dad’s constant disapprovement.

Stephanie... sassy, full figured, unapologetically herself.

I really enjoyed these characters, their romance and the challenges they had to overcome to be together. There were also characters I wanted to jump through the pages to slap, like his dad and secretary. The story was fun and had a good amount of intrigue mixed in. My only complaint is that parts felt slow and it was probably a bit too long - but still a really enjoyable story

I love the characters!

I really enjoyed listening to this book as an audiobook. The characters are wonderful. I really liked the no filter Stephanie, who became the secretary for sexy, billionaire Jeremiah. This book was so much more than poor young girl falling for rich sexy boss. There are lots of twists and turns, intrigue, and suspense, along with parts that will make you laugh out loud, and the parts that are hot, hot. The narrators also did an outstanding job. You could always tell which character was talking. I wanted to just keep driving around, so I could keep listening. I, therefore, recommend this book whichever format you prefer. I received a complimentary advanced audio copy of this book from the author as part of the ARC team, but my opinions are 100% my own.

Great Story, Narration Iffy

I loved the story, the mystery content, the humor and the romance.

The narration, however, wasn't top shelf in my estimation. The female narrator mispronounced a couple of words repetitively that just grated on my nerves - birthday (pronounced birPHday) and secretary (pronounced seCEtary NO R). There were several other minor mispronunciations, but these two were really irritating. The male narrator uses a breathy, whisper in your ear tone throughout the book; that's fine in appropriate situations, but I didn't like it for the entire reading.

Loved it

I loved this story. This is the kind of heroine i look for in romance. She was tough, smart, beautiful and feisty and with backbones. The performance was icing on the cake. Loved from beginning to the end. Highly recommend!

Where was the “com”

Where was the “com” in Rom Com?
The story was predictable, a little too wordy in certain parts.
