About this listen

The Billionaire's Fake Marriage

I asked her to marry me to save my company, I never thought I would fall in love with her.

Ryan:
My company, my life’s work, everything I’ve accomplished is on the line.
I need to get married and fast.
It will be easy to consider it a business arrangement.
One that will be lucrative for both my assistant, Mika, and myself.
I won’t think about how this takes away the whole problem of dating an employee.
But it doesn’t take away my desire to make her mine.

Mika:
My career was all that mattered to me and getting ahead.
When Ryan gives me an opportunity of a lifetime, I can’t say no.
But that was before I became his wife.
That was before I moved in with him.
That was before I started to fall in love with him.
Now I want to find a way to stay with him forever.

The Billionaire's Temporary Marriage

I only needed her to be with me for a year, but how do I convince her to stay?

Cole:
No one knows me better than Faith.
When I'm in the biggest fight of my life.
She is the only one I think to turn to.
It was only supposed to be temporary.
I never imagined I would fall in love with her.
Or want to make her mine.

Faith:
Whatever Cole asks of me I will do.
When he asks me to marry him, I can’t say no.
Despite the fact that I'm in love with him.
And I know he'll never love me.
He says it will only be for a year.
But how do I convince him to make it forever?

The Billionaire's Necessary Marriage

I had given her my name, I had given her my protection, but that didn't mean I had any right to her.

Ethan:
I gave her a place to stay, and I owed my life to her brother, who died saving mine.
It was only supposed to be until I was done with my deployment.
But now I need her to stick around a little while longer.
To help me, secure a future from a father I never wanted to know and brothers who despise me.
I never counted on needing or wanting Sabrina, nor falling in love with her.
She is everything I could ever want but I have no idea how to make her mine.

Sabrina:
It had been foolish to get married just to have a place to stay.
But I was desperate and it wasn’t going to last.
That was until I find myself flying to New York with Ethan and meeting his family
To seeing the wonderful man that he is.
And how desperate he wants a sense of purpose and to belong.
That I want to be the one who gives him all of that and my heart.

Fantastic book

MacKenzie Stowe’s A Hot Fake Marriage New York Romantic Trilogy is an amazing book. J.D. Tomlinson, A.J. Clarke, and Jim Catapano did a fantastic job with the narration. The Billionaire Marriage Trilogy is entertaining, interesting, enjoyable, and funny. There are three stories in it. They are all great and interesting. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend

Billionaire Marriage Trilogy!

"The Billionaire's Fake Marriage", "The Billionaire's Temporary Marriage" and "The Billionaire's Necessary Marriage"

"The Billionaire's Fake Marriage"- This is Ryan and Mika's story. It is the first in a series with connected characters. This is an interesting and intriguing read with a fake to more plot. The two have a friendly relationship of sorts but when they start a fake relationship a little drama comes about. Insecurities surface and feelings begin to surface along the way. This is a good story and with some nice development.

"The Billionaire's Temporary Marriage" - This is the second story in a series with connected characters and a connected will and testament. This is an interesting and intriguing read with a best friends and marriage of convenience to more plot. This is Cole and Faith's story. The two have grown up together and are best friends. His father's will stipulates he must marry and remain married for one year to gain shares in the company. Faith's mother has not let any of her girls live it down that she was cheated out of planning their sisters wedding. Cole decides he has the perfect solution for both of them. Faith has been in love with Cole for sometime so it is no hardship but what are the expectations? This is a good story and with some nice development, a touch of drama and misunderstandings.

"The Billionaire's Necessary Marriage" - This is Ethan and Sabrina's story. They marry due to a promise Ethan made to her brother. They stay together due to necessity and a stipulation in a will. Ethan and his best friend, Chris, were military. When Chris died, he left behind his younger sister and mother. His sister was in nursing school and had moved in with Chris. Now that her brother is gone, Ethan fills he needs to step up and be there for her. So he offers her a marriage of convenience. She can live in his place and finish school. When Ethan's estranged father dies, leaving him very wealthy, they stay married because of the clause in the will. Or do they? I enjoyed seeing how these two grew from friends to much more. The story does have a bit of drama but is fun, sweet and heartwarming.

Great box set!

When billionaire Roger Bernard Ashton died it became apparent that his sons didn't consider him a good father. They felt that he didn't care much for them and were still bitter that he cheated on their mother. The dysfunction was palpable. Ryan, Cole and Ethan Ashton are together for the reading of the will. There is a copious amount of tension in the room, stemming from the fact that it's the first time the brothers have been together in one spot. Ethan is their half brother, the product of the affair between their father and his mother, and to say it's uncomfortable is an understatement. During the reading of the will, it's apparent that their father is trying to get in one last shot because a stipulation says that each of his sons must be married for a year before they can inherit their shares of the company. Perhaps Roger knew what he was doing in an attempt to bring his sons together, because the discomfort quickly turned to cooperation and sharing. The three books in the box set follow the love story of each of the brothers. Once Ryan and Mica are married, the media gets a hold of the stipulation that they must be married for their inheritance, they need to get ahead of the story by facing the board of directors to convince them that their marriage is real. When some of the wives think that stipulation to marry is the only reason their husband married them, they assume that they won't be wanted anymore once their year-long marriage is over. Hint: the husbands are much too smitten with their wives to want to end the marriage and they'll have to do some serious wooing. I truly wanted to slap a couple of faces and tell them to be honest with themselves, but it all works out beautifully with three HEAs.
The terrific narration by JD Tomlinson, AJ Clarke and Jim Catapano made this story more emotional and believable. Each character has a unique personality and attitude as they brought them to life.

Very tied together Trilogy.

All three stories are tied together because they're all brothers. They come from a dramatic traumatic background. This goes through not only personal journeys but the journey they take to become closer Brothers.

Great story, Loved it!

This ALC made my weekend! The narrators brought the characters to life! From the moment I turned on the ALC, I was hooked to the story and even picked up the kindle copy from KU so that I could follow along, or read ahead a little.

Marrying for money

This is a copulation of 3 stories that are all standalone stories. I Three brothers whose father has died and, in the will, it stipulates they must marry and stay married for one year to receive their shares in the company. Each story by itself is worth reading or listening to but together you get to see how the family comes together and learns to be a family.

Boring

This was one of the most boring books I have listened to. The narrators were boring and not very good. I would skip this one if I had known.

All three books are the same

I stuck with the books because I had paid for the trilogy and was on a lengthy car trip. I wish I had selected something else. The main characters in each of the three books are indistinguishable from each other, with the exception of their names, physical descriptions, and jobs. The inner turmoil and dialogue of the second two books were pretty much lifted verbatim from the first. The dialogue was stiff and stilted, which made the performances really difficult to listen to. These books aren’t worth your time unless they are free and you have time to kill. ALSO: the name of the business in the book is Ashton Corp. The readers constantly read this as corps (like the Marine Corps), pronouncing it as “core” instead of Corp, short for Corporation. Says Merriam Webster:

On ‘Corps’ and ‘Core’ and ‘Corp’ (and ‘Corpse’)
Do not confuse these words
What to Know
Corps refers to a group, such as the Marine Corps. Its spelling does not change in the singular or plural, but it is pronounced \KOR\ when singular and \KORZ\ when plural. Corp is short for corporal or corporation and is pronounced \KORP\.
