About this listen

I asked her to marry me to save my company, I never thought I would fall in love with her.

Ryan:

My company, my life’s work, everything I’ve accomplished is on the line.

I need to get married and fast.

It will be easy to consider it a business arrangement. One that will be lucrative for both my assistant, Mika, and myself. I won’t think about how this takes away the whole problem of dating an employee.

But it doesn’t take away my desire to make her mine.

Mika:

My career was all that mattered to me and getting ahead.

When Ryan gives me an opportunity of a lifetime, I can’t say no. But that was before I became his wife. That was before I moved in with him. That was before I started to fall in love with him.

Now I want to find a way to stay with him forever.

The Billionaire's Fake Marriage is a stand-alone billionaire office fake romance set in New York City with plenty of heat with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers!

Marry, or else

This story is part of a series. The brothers are rich, and their father passes away. He left a cavate in his will the brothers must all marry, or lose their inheritance. The marriages must last least 1 year. Each brother has their own story. This book is the first brother, who marries his office assistant. They work well together, so decide to make it a business proposition. What can go wrong, other than to actually fall for each other? There is chemistry, some twists, and ends with a HEA. I am looking forward to reading the other brother’s stories. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

The story was sweet but I didn't like the narratio

My rating: 3.5

Tropes: Billionaire - Faking - Office - Sweet

Heat: 7/10
Emotion 6/10
Story: 6/10
Characters: 6/10
Interest: 6/10
POV: Dual
No Cheating/No OW sex

"The billionaire's fake marriage" is a sweet fake-arranged marriage story.

What I did like:
- Both characters were sweet (At the end i fond the MC a little annoying in the way he thought)
- I liked the way the relationship developed, the discussions and the way they came close.

What I didn't Like:
- I listened to the Audible version and i didn't really like the narration (mostly the MFC point of view).
- At some points it is mentioned all the time "He said.... She said.... "again and again.
- Towards the end i found the reaction of the MMC odd.

Overall, it was a cute story, with steam and sweet emotions.
Next time i will read a book from the author, instead of listening to it.

The Billionaire's Fake Marriage is an intriguing listen. The Billionaire's Fake Marriage is the first book of a Trilogy, where brothers have to deal with an inheritance clause left in their estranged father's will. This story was about Ryan & Mika and how they found their way to each other through a marriage of inconvenience. I totally laughed, giggled and enjoyed the story and the image painted with the narrators.

The narrators did a good job at making the story sound lively and entertaining, more or less the Male narrator. I definitely enjoyed the Male narrative with his accent and the way he read the story with his tone. The Female narrator did an okay job. However, certain parts in the story was rather annoying to hear "she said, I said".

Sometimes, the only way to face the feelings and emotions we run away from is to be forced into it. Sometimes, a parent's hard love to us is what's best to help us grow into the person we should be. Family love is important.

Captivating.

Tomlinson and Clarke make it so easy to give your heart over to these amazing characters. From yearning to enduring Ryan and Mika know what it means to capture the soul. Stowe pushes beyond the beauty of love and into the heartache of it. The Billionaire's Fake Marriage is captivating.

Fake

Loved the narration from JD Tomlinson and AJ Clarke, both bring the emotions and characters to your ears.

Brothers Ryan, Cole and Ethan, find that their father even after death is wants to control their lives, forcing them to get married.
So Ryan buts a deal his assistant Mika. They get married for a year and in so saves the company. What start off as a business deal soon changes. It is while being in a fake marriage, brings the chemistry and more to a head. One year may not be enough.

Interesting

I found this story interesting. The characters were sweet and I liked their insta chemistry. I wasn’t a huge fan of the he said she said in the audio. I don’t mind in an ebook but not audio as it gets repetitive.

Narrator needs work

It was hard to tell the difference between the main characters due to them sounding alike. Because of this it took away from the story.

Is it just a contractual agreement or is it love

Mackenzie Stowe wrote a fantastic billionaires romance. J.D. Tomlinson and A.J. Clarke did an amazing job with the narration and bringing the characters to life. The story is entertaining, interesting, funny, enjoyable, and romantic. Ryan’s business is in trouble and the only way to fix it is to have a contractual marriage. Mika is his assistant and he likes her and decides to ask her, but neither of them expect that they will develop strong feelings for each other. What will happen? Will they admit their feelings for each other? Will their contractual marriage turn into something more? Listen to the whole story to find out. The Story as Banal as the Title

This book had little substance to it. Yes, the fake marriage is set up, and the marriage is underway quickly, but the author doesn't really share much detail about their lives as they're trying to navigate the first months of this fake marriage. The author jumps around between mostly irrelevant incidents, with a little bit of intimacy along the way. No character or plot development. There's a dark moment, as must always happen near the end of a romance, but it was illogical and just made no sense. Why would the hero think that way or assume what he did without talking to the heroine? It just made no sense. He was making a mountain out of a molehill, wreaking havoc in both their lives. My gut instinct tells me that this author is more of a publisher who farms out the actual work of writing the book to a ghostwriter. That can work, so long as you act well as the publisher, both knowing the genre you want your ghostwriter to work with and assuring the ghostwriter puts out good quality work. Whether this author stated on the cover is truly one or a publisher, that didn’t happen. If you like billionaire or fake marriage romance, find a better book!
