Publisher's summary

Greenhurst, a sleepy English village, had not changed since a year ago when the Waynes of Wood Mount fought so fiercely to keep their home together and undesirable characters out of it.

But now the place was buzzing with news of Miss Dryden-Smith's sudden death. To think that all these years the village had never known that she had a son! And what of the loud-but-likable American playwright who had just wound his way to Wood Mount? Things could not be the same after his arrival.

Not as good as book 1 in the series

I find that the books if this prolific author are either quite good or quite dated/average. This book fell somewhere in the middle. Pros: we follow up with the characters of book 1. Cons: the story was rather dated/average. I did read book 3 in the series on kindle, which was an improvement on book 2, and should be a good puck if Audible decides to add.

So disappointing

Love these characters and was so pleased to spend more time with them but found this story disappointing and the ending extremely so.
will have to read the 3rd book in hopes of a more satisfying arc....

Great story, perfect narration!

The Blue Sky of Spring is another of Elizabeth Cadell’s romantic mysteries. The mystery is a case of lost and found.
This is the second part of the Waynes of Wood Mount trilogy. The writing is truly beautiful.
Stevie Zimmerman’s narration is wonderful.
I highly recommend both the author and narrator.
