About this listen

Dear Santa,

Please bring me a new boss for Christmas. Mine is the worst. The worst, hidden in a six-foot-tall package of male perfection. It’d be easier if he looked like an old Scrooge, wouldn’t it?

Nick Saint-Croix doesn’t look like an old scrooge. He’s hot as -

Um, never mind. Just bring me a new boss. Please.

Sincerely,
Holly Winter

Excellent Christmas novella, perfect Erin Mallon!

Very cute short story/novella - been wanting to read (listen) to this one all year, but waited until December to make sure it was seasonally appropriate!

Book 1 is about Holly working for the Reindeer Falls main employer, a toy comany. The boss, Nick, is the definition of Scrooge.... young and hot, yes, but Scrooge. He has to go to Germany just before Christmas to meet with the company theirs is modeled after, and he decides at the last second that she has to go with him. You can probably guess how it ends because it’s a hot and steamy romance novella, and you’d be right!

This is the first Jana Aston book I’ve read and it was excellent! Very well written and left me wishing it was a full-length book instead of a novella! I’ll definitely be continuing the series and looking for more of her books. Book 2 in this series is about Holly’s sister Ginger and a gingerbread competition. Sign me up! I loved it! Especially so because it was narrated by my very favourite, Erin Mallon! It was the perfect novel to curl up with on a cold, migraine filled December Friday morning before Christmas.

I'm happy that because this was a short story and knowing it was just the start of the series, I have a whole lot more to look forward to and can return to Reindeer falls. I very much enjoyed the story and the characters and will absolutely continue on! Holly and Nick were very cute (and seasonally appropriately named), then Ginger in book 2 and Noelle in book 3.

Definitely worth a read but especially worth a listen! I got this one both on audio and e-book and could read & listen/whispersync.

Good Christmas Story

I really liked this Christmas story, but I thought the end was wrapped up too quickly. Love Erin Mellon’s narration!!!!

AHHHH!

The inner monologue drives me crazy! I thought my train of thought was all little wild but this girl's like a runaway train heading for a crash off a broken bridge. It's like a tape stuck on play. The story was ok but dang the main female is ridiculous but at least she knows it. Don't lisen to this story if you can't handle a frustrating train of thought.

Fun sexy laugh out loud read.

I loved this funny sexy story. Holly is hilarious.
Holly thinks Nick is the Scrooge of all time. Nick is a hard man to read.
Could not wait to see what they would do next. Absolutely loved Holly’s idea of what an advent calendar should be.

The perfect Christmas novella!

Jana Aston and her humor.
I'm not usually a fan of holiday stories, but when it was pitched as a Hallmark movie meets sexy times, I was in.
Because, really, who doesn't love a Hallmark Christmas movie? The only disappointing thing about those movies is the insta-love and the extreme lack of good times. But I can handle it because I want a lot of sweet with my sappy holiday movies.
But I digress.
The Boss Who Stole Christmas is fun, sexy, swoony, and just the perfect blend of over the top holiday nonsense to make you feel like you fell into a snow globe. Or a Hallmark movie. Whichever.

And Nick Saint-Croix is the sexy boss you want to get dirty with. I mean, he takes her on a trip of a lifetime! And that first kiss? SA-WOOOOOON.

Oh, I wish this place were real

Christmas town oh how I love you.
Sexy sweet boss, marry me.
Holly, awesome funny girl who we can adore.

I am such a big fan of Jana Aston and Erin Mallon that I honestly had no clue what this was about when purchased. I clicked buy it as soon as I saw it on the new releases.

So, we have the very normal boss employee trope. They are both head over heels and have not a clue. I mean, it’s truly the norm there.

There are several things that make it unique. The things that give you insight into who they are. The things that make them special just draw you in until you are in love with the characters. Well as much as you can be. The books a couple hours long, ya know?

So-

Sexy times- very sweet and romantic
Hot boss- super check
Dickmas advant calendar- adorbs. I’m making one for all my single friends right as soon as I find my glue gun!

Happy holiday reading!!!

REALLY DISAPPOINTED

Not at all what I expected from the tittle. The book doesn't make any sense to me based on the pace and the reader made it even worst. Did not enjoy the voice at all, sad

Naughty in Nuremberg

So cute! A little holiday themed novella with A+ witty banter and plenty of Christmasy wordplay that made me giggle. It's a boss to lovers trope with heat, old world charm, very little drama and an adorable HFN. It's a really quick listen with superstar narrator Erin Mallon perfect for the part. I might suggest that you get the full Reindeer Falls Collection of books 1, 2 and 3. I'm not sure which of them is more fun.

Lots of Christmas

I'm undecided about this story. I'm not overly fond of first-person POV, of which this is. But I didn't really like Holly. Yes, she is quirky, what is attractive and cool, but she is also judgmental, and everything seems to be about her. She doesn't think of others, what they are thinking or feeling. It's not fun to read about someone who can't think of anything but how it relates to her.

Erin Mallon did a fantastic job. I do enjoy her narrative skills.
