About this listen

From the award-winning author of Something Like Summer and Straight Boy....

Sometimes dreams come true, whether you’re ready for them or not.

Shane was only 14 when found a photo of a boy his age and became obsessed with it. Now, 13 years later, he has a chance encounter with a man who bears a striking resemblance. Already in a happy relationship, Shane must keep his fantasies in check while attempting to solve the mystery, but little does he realize just how many connections they share. The Boy at the Bottom of the Fountain is a heartwarming short story about love in its many forms, be they real or imagined.

Another Great Story

As always, Jay Bell's art at his finest. This one was a little short but leaves room to continue the story.

Beautifully Done Short Story

I am a Jay Bell fan and wow this was a short story filled with so much emotion. I am not sure how Jay Bell did it, but it was awesome. Charlie David was phenomenal at bringing the characters to life and it was so good I listened twice. I highly recommend to all Jay Bell fans and those that like a good short love story.

Enjoyable Distraction

The pacing reminds me of a well-written sitcom. It's focused and doesn't overstay its welcome. Sometimes you should enjoy things for what they are and this is one of those times. In this quick story, there is something to love about all the characters; because of this, I don't want to spoil it. I'll just say it's the perfect break from any genre that doesn't involve romance. Happy Listening!

Sweet and upbeat

This was a pretty enjoyable short story. No weird drama. Doesn’t morph into porn after chapter one. Not quite believable, but not ridiculous either lol

Sweet Short Story

Jay Bell provides a nice complete short story. I like the cast of characters and I could believe the premise. Though three characters are involved, Shane is the one I related to the most and I really liked the conclusion of this tale. Jay Bell is phenomenal story teller and Charlie David is a great narrator.

Curse you Jay Bell for riping my heart out again, and me asking you to do it again.

The sound quality was bad to raspy

I was a cute story, a nice fantasy that a young gay boy would appreciate
