About this listen

Adam is a tall handsome British man who could have most women at will with just his sexy accent alone. But even with all the wealth he has, it still cannot help Adam's situation with his ill mother. Thea on the other hand is a hard working everyday city girl who strives to make her life better than what her parents had. Sparks start to fly with Adam and Thea, and after a deep conversation one day between the both of them, one thing leads to another and the best steamy sex they've had in a long time comes their way. Here's the problem though. Something doesn't feel right for Thea one morning and little did she know that shes pregnant with Adam's child. Thea figures out how to break the shocking news to Adam, but how will he take it? Especially with everything going on in his life with his sick mother right now. Will Thea be left to struggle as a single mother, or will Adam step up and finally find true love?

Shallow story

If this had just been her and her brother, the narration would’ve been fine. But it doesn’t fit for a British white guy; not the voice and not even the words, really. The book didn’t have enough depth to make me root for the characters’ HEA. Not mentioning birth control was questionable. The lack of a job was unexplained. The decision to stop at a phone call was ridiculous. Basing all daddy decisions on bad dreams was also ridiculous. I found myself rolling my eyes way more than a grownup should. In real life, this just isn’t how adults behave unless they are really immature.

not exactly what I was expecting

This British billionaire is not really. First off he did not sound British. Second he did not use any of the verbiage. Third where the heck was his spine. Adam was a disappointment as a leading man. This was a short story so expecting something more with an impact on the reader was what I was looking for. Thea and Adam worked together but did they work as a couple together. That they do not find out before Adam is gone. Thea is pregnant and then she it gone. For a short it was entertaining and frustrating.

Narrator could not keep the bases of the story going. Adam was British with a supposed British accent. None could be found any where.
