About this listen

It takes three simple steps to make a guy fall in love with you.... Determination. Seduction. Charm. Let the game begin....

Presley Cabot has come a long way from the overweight, awkward college student who fell hard for the gorgeous track star, Nolan Banks, only to be humiliated after their one night together. Now, she’s one of the billionaire badass owners of LWW Enterprises and has everything she’d ever wanted in life, leaving her past behind.

But when Nolan comes back into town and doesn’t even recognize the girl he once destroyed, she decides to invoke her own personal revenge. The plan is simple - make him fall hard for her, then dump him. She transforms herself into his perfect woman using three simple steps to spin her web.

But she never planned on getting caught up in old feelings...and new promises....

Nolan Banks leaves Wall Street behind to open up a brewery in his small college town. Finally ready to carve out his life away from the dreams of his family, he never expected to find an immediate attraction to the sexy corporate mogul who challenges him at every step. He falls hard and fast, determined to show her they’re meant for each other, until the truth of their shared past shatters their fragile foundation.

But Nolan is playing for higher stakes, and he’s not about to let Presley walk away without a fight. Can he convince her his feelings have nothing to do with the game rules and everything to do with the woman she is?

Redeeming Qualities

Decent story.Narrators were ok.Nelson Hobbs reads better horror and suspense than romance.Daphne Dawson got better as she read, just needed a warm up but did good with the male voice overs and female voice overs.Normally I’d say, move on with your life now that you’re a beautiful, successful woman, but having the opportunity for closure and since the experience was her first and you can never get that back.I say a little pay backs in order.I never believed that Nolan was a bad guy,I knew there was something amiss with the night of the frat party. I thought Pressley was smart, how could she not have known that there was something off with how Nolan was responding to her that night.I’m happy though that they both got their second chance and gotten their happy ever after.

Let this audio charm you

This is a story like Jennifer can write. Its really great and realistic . It’s hits the insecurity that college students go through. But not really showing it to the outside world. What happens when two people get played st a frat party ? When the heroine thinks that her crush took advantage of her a wham bam thank you mame . She’s out for revenge but when the whole real story comes out what then . Grab it and see .

Loved the narrators, especially Nelson Hobbs he’s always perfect. I know this was aDaphne first audio and she was good also

Superb narrators! I really like the story but wish it was told in person instead of third. other than that, I highly recommend this story.

Phenomenal

I had loved Nolan and Presley when I read this book when it was published and loved them more when I listened to the audiobook. I am a huge fan of Jennifer so I had to get the audiobook but it was my first time listening to Nelson and Daphne and these two were phenomenal and loved how they gave life to Nolan and Presley characters. They captured all the emotions, insecurities and chemistry of the characters perfectly. They made me fall more in love with Nolan and Presley characters. Definitely worth one credit and re listen worthy.

Such a wonderful story!

I can't even imagine the emotional turmoil that Presley went through all those years. But she didn't let anyone hold her down. or hold her back for that matter. Wonderful story and completely amazing narration. 😍

Meh...

This was a cute book. It featured a girl who wanted revenge on a boy she lost her virginity to in college but didn’t remember her because supposedly she was “fat”.

I think a lot of things prevented me from giving it beyond a three. Two rich H/h( they both were business owners but gained wealth a wee before that through family) and a lot of effort to make them seem woke, worldly and better than a traditional 1%-er.

I also think they put a lot of emphasis on the heroine being fat in college(which losing 25 lbs miraculously made her “unfat” so I don’t imagine she was more than a little chubby to begin with) and she tied so much of her confidence into being thin that it wouldn’t have made a fat reader connect to her.

She also liked the hero in college but he didn’t recognize her when he moved back their home state. That was weird cuz 25 lbs isn’t a brand new person to me, but anyways, she was intentionally trying to make him like her so she could reject him the way she thought he did her in college after she lost her v card to him.

I can’t think of anytime it’d be a good idea to make the two mcs of a book be intimate and turns out his friends roofie-d him so he doesn’t even remember it. It made me feel bad for him because he did something he wouldn’t have normally done without that influence and he did something that affected her self esteem for years after so it wasn’t a healthy situation to start anything. It kinda felt like they were both taken advantage of.

Then In their all of a sudden after a week they’re in love? The book was cute but it wasn’t a reread for me.

The Premise, if the roles were reversed...

My number one issue is that if the roles were reversed, the H would have been arrested for a criminal act. Because the h had control, it was just a prank gone wrong. Double standards need to go away.

The second issue was that the h and her friends were very petty overall and I cannot see why the H tolerated it.

I will read other books by Jennifer as I do like her novels.

not a fan

I usually like Jennifer Probst's books, but this one was a miss for me. While the storyline had promise and there was a sweet love story in there, mostly I was bored and found the sex scenes to be a bit excessive. I did think the narrators were great.
