I live to sew and sew to live. I love being able to listen to these wonderful stories of women lives, friendships and challenges while I'm sewing. You really don't need to know how to sew or quilt to appreciate thesae stories. I have also listened while driving and not wanted to get out of the car after an entire day of driving.

Beautiful story-lots of threads.

Don’t misunderstand, I adore Jennifer Chiaverini’s books, including the Elm Creek Quilters Series. My disappointment lies in the fact that the recording was simply lifted from the old cassette version. The beautiful story is caustically interrupted with instructions regarding the cassette - “forward to the end of the cassette”, “rewind”, “turn the cassette over”. This is the first time I have had a problem with an Audiobooks product; it did a real injustice to Ms. Chiaverini’s fine story. I requested a refund and it was posted promptly.

Unprofessional recording

I had read these books many years ago and enjoyed them very much so listening to them while I work on my own quilts is a real treat. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the series.

a pleasure to listen to

A great listen it made me cry. The old bits where it says to turn over cassette were a blast from the past. We have it much better withAudible . I loved this story it touched home I had to also make peace with the past after starting this book. It is like spending time with friende, on to the. Nextel m creek story.

I very much enjoyed this story as I have the others in the series. Unfortunately, the recording of the cassette version which tells you to turn over the cassette, etc. pulled me out of the story too many times. Also did not want to relive stories that were already told in other books. I felt like this was not a good addition to the series.

Annoying interruptions and retelling

Everything was great except they could have removed the “cassette tape” notations. This version was obviously taken from the cassette recordings and those interruptions were annoying.

Awesome story, recording not so much

it was a good story, short, with a lot of my favorite characters. there was a lot of explanation in background story from when Sylvia was little, the stories unfortunately overlap quite a bit I was disappointed to hear so much that I had already heard in the other books I had listened to. I think the thing that frustrated me the most about this story was the fact that it was copied for audible off of cassettes and there are a number of times when the says turn cassette over and this is the end of cassette 5 that's kind of annoying they could have edited that out!

A good story with a lot of re-telling

lovely nostalgic telling of the history and traditions of Elm Creek.
I wish it would be re-edited the take iut rhe 'cassette ' reminders from the middle of the story on to the end. it is distracting.

Wonderful story that brings many elements together.
