Good but for the narration

Includes the “A Merry Christmas” from Little Women, which is one of my favorite chapters in that book, but Susie Berneils’s narration of Beth and Amy’s voices are way too babyish, and you might think that Amy is seven instead of twelve, and Beth nine instead of thirteen.

Sentimental

There are some good stories included, but overall they definitely tend towards the sentimental. All of them together was a bit much for me. Particularly all the orphans having to earn people’s love stories. But it’s well-performed and if that’s what you’re in the mood for, you’ll enjoy it!

Good

I really like this book but was a little disappointed because usually in this authors books there is a lot of romance and I did not find that much so that was kinda disappointing

Sweet stories of Christmas generosity and joy.

The stories in this collection are quintessential Alcott-embodying the homely values that so mark her work. Each story is a eloquent, but simple illustration of what Alcott saw as the true meaning of Christmas; giving joy to others.

If you are feeling a bit jaded this holiday season these stories are just the right medicine to restore your Christmas spirit.
