The Corpus Hermeticum is a collection of 17 Greek writings whose authorship is traditionally attributed to the legendary Hellenistic figure Hermes Trismegistus, a syncretic combination of the Greek god Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth. The treatises were originally written between c. 100 and c. 300 CE, but the collection as known today was first compiled by medieval Byzantine editors. It was translated into Latin in the 15th century by the Italian humanist scholars Marsilio Ficino (1433–1499) and Lodovico Lazzarelli (1447–1500).

Having already read The Kybalion, I was eager to explore more Hermetic texts, and this audiobook exceeded my expectations. It compiles not only The Kybalion but also the Corpus Hermeticum, Asclepius, The Virgin of the World, and The Chaldean Oracles, among others—many of which I hadn’t read before. The modernized language makes these profound teachings more accessible while preserving their essence, and the narration is clear, well-paced, and engaging.
One of the strongest aspects of this audiobook is how smoothly it flows. Despite being a collection of separate works, it feels like a guided journey through Hermetic philosophy rather than a disjointed anthology. The material presents both mystical and practical insights, offering timeless wisdom on consciousness, transformation, and universal principles.

I recently listened to this audiobook, and it was eye-opening. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about Hermetic wisdom but got lost in old, confusing words, this audiobook fixes that. Very cool to have this all in one place.
I learned a little about Hermitism in a philosophy class in college, and I had always wanted to learn more. Having ALL OF THIS together is a real treat. I find it meditative, and calming to listen to. And there is something interesting to ponder every minute of this recording. It's pretty neat.

This is a one of kind compendium of ancient wisdom
I chose this compendium of seminal Hermitic texts to supplement my knowledge of the Kybalion, which a lot of people interested in ancient mysticism already know about. Be advised that these texts don’t read like stories but as teachings and lectures. Even when it’s confusing, it’s always fascinating, and one can catch glimpses of Hebrew Biblical and even Christian wisdom in these works, so we know that those religions didn’t just spring out of nowhere.
The narrator is very competent. If you like this sort of ancient wisdom, this collection is for you.
