About this listen

When a body turned up at her last catering gig it certainly put people off the hors d’oeuvres. With a reputation to salvage, Jodie’s determined that her next job for the village’s festival will go off without a hitch.

But when chaos breaks out, Jodie Parker somehow always finds herself caught up in the picture. The body of a writer from the festival is discovered at the bottom of a cliff, and the prime suspect turns out to be the guest of honour, the esteemed painter Duncan Stovall.

With her background in the Met police, Jodie has got solving cases down to a fine art so she knows things are rarely as they seem.

Can she find the killer before the village faces another brush with death?

Loved the story, the plot is smart. The characters are very likeable. I only wish that the main character's romantic tensions would give a little in her favor. :)

Very good!

I really enjoyed this. I found Fiona’s stories are very easy to identify only wish I knew who killed him.

Nice story

From the moment I began book 1 in this series, I was hooked! Fiona’s wit, humor, and gift for storytelling put her high on my list of favorite writers and with Agatha Christie at numerous uno, that’s saying a lot.
I am a reader with somewhere around 900 books on Audible alone. I am delighted to begin book #3 in this deliciously delightful series!

Pure Delight

Frothy and fun, but the constant focus on the heroine’s hormones gets pretty thin in this book. I think this #2 will be my last.

This series by Fiona Leitch has amazing characters and tough to solve mysteries coupled with humor, a little romance, and a great narrator. Sadly, only three of the much long series is available on Audible. When can we expect the rest to be released?

Audible, where are the rest?

Plot was a degree less. I love Jodi, her mom, daughter and Nathan and Tony - Duncan, the “other” man felt straight out of central casting. I can’t believe someone as smart as Jodi would ever have been more than passingly interested in him.
Still, happy with the ending. Reasonably happy with the mystery. Worth the time but not the author’s most compelling.

Performance is perfect

This might be the best cozy series I’ve read this year! Love it so much already!

Love the banter and growing friendships with Tony and Nathan (rooting for the DCI). Makes drive time fly by!

Fun cozy detective mystery

I couldn’t stand her playing around with a married man. I’m abandoning the book. Also , I didn’t keep my attention

I’m hating that she is playing around with a married man. I can’t get past it.

The protagonist is funny, relatable, and clever. I wonder why there’s only 3 audiobooks where there seven books so far in the series. I definitely would continue to buy the rest of the series.

A really fun series
