I’m enjoying the series so far. Wished I understood more about Duncan. I do however really dislike Becky. I hope her character improves or is featured less.

Interesting series

This is another story taking you to the wild and woolly Isle of Skye again. What seems as an accident isn't and the intrigue and lies never fail, Duncan has his own personal issues laid on him whilst dealing with the case. Kept me listening finished in a day plus I just love Angus King narrating he never fails to bring all the characters to life with the story, Looking forward to the next in the series.

Well paced and nicely developed characters. Yet another bulls eye by the author and the perfect choice of narrator

Great narration

More often than not, the weather on the Isle of Skye must really suck. Almost to the point where you wonder why anyone would live there. But then, you have the locals who just deal with it and life goes on.

In this book, the police strive to solve a murder that happened on a local mountain. And they are often out in the elements working the crime and they always seem to be bundling up to protect themselves from the wind, the sleet, the snow, the cold, all of the above.

It's a good little mystery and with a good little personal touch as well.

Why does this writer create all these manufactured tensions with women in books one and two? The issues are cliche’, silly, trite and distracting. I’ll continue with this series if the author drops all the man-hating-splaining and writes some realistic relationships for McAdams to experience with the opposite gender. Currently his writer’s quiver is full of hot buttons.

A very interesting investigation with several potential outcomes. It’s good to get back with “the team” and discover more about Duncan and his early life on Skye.

I can’t say enough about Angus King’s narration.

Terrific narrator; great story

Loved it all! We all screw up. We all have to face our demons. It is the honorable who face them, hate doing it, but do it well. Face temptation and turn away. Great narrator.

Finally someone who will stand against domestic violence!

Deeply human characters and suspense that leaps off the page will keep you up all night just to finish. Be sure to start early in the day so you can get a good night's rest. Unless you start the next book in the series; in which case it's a flashlight under the covers!

Gripping
